Philip C. Waterhouse II

Philip C. Waterhouse II was born the son of Philip C. Waterhouse I and Glenda Erzinger Waterhouse Ealy on July 3, 1990 in Springfield, Missouri and departed this life on July 7, 2011 at his home in Thayer, Missouri at the age of 21 years.
He was united in marriage on September 10, 2009 in West Plains, Missouri to Paige Olson.
He is survived by his wife, Paige Waterhouse of the home in Thayer, Missouri; his father, Philip Waterhouse I of Branson, Missouri; his mother, Glenda Ealy of Thayer, Missouri; his step-father, Ron Smoot of Thayer, Missouri; one sister, Samantha Lynch of Independence, Oregon; one brother, Michael Lynch of Monmouth, Oregon; several aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Violet Bernice Erzinger; great grandmother, Maye Thornton and uncle, Gary Cloud Davidson.
Philip was a Certified Nurses Aide formerly employed at Brooke Haven in West Plains, Missouri.
He was an avid outdoorsman. Philip enjoyed hunting, fishing, his dogs, Lexi and Socks and was known as having a heart as big as the outdoors. He will be remembered for his radiant smile, pleasant personality, love for his family and always eager to help those in need.
He was of the Baptist faith, a loving and devoted husband, son, brother and a loyal friend. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be Sunday, July 10, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 9th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
Loretta Combs
Loretta Ruth Combs was born the daughter of Elisha “Tood” Mills and Myrtle Martin Mills on April 26, 1935 in Thayer, Missouri and departed this life July 4, 2011 at her home near Thayer, Missouri at the age of 76 years.
She was united in marriage April 19, 1952 at Salem, Arkansas to Lawrence Combs, who preceded her in death September 23, 2010.
She is survived by two daughters, Diana Hoaglan and husband, Duane of Collierville, Tennessee and Deniece Crenshaw and husband, Mark of Thayer, Missouri; one son, Bill Combs and wife, Mary of Thayer, Missouri; five grandchildren, Thomas Burr and wife, Tonia of St. Francisville, Louisiana, Tanya Burr of McGehee, Arkansas, Katie Poole and husband, Adam of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Josh Hoaglan of Memphis, Tennessee and Alyssa Dahlke and husband, Ezekiel of Derby, Kansas; six great grandchildren, Dylan, Jaxon, Richard, Alexa, Anna Claire and Emmalyn and was looking forward to the arrival of the seventh; one sister, Frances Sandifer of Thayer, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tood and Myrtle Mills and her husband, Lawrence Combs.
Loretta was a seamtress and employed by Puritan Fashions in Thayer for many years.
She enjoyed her flower garden but most of all loved her family. She treasured the time with her children and grandchildren, always looking forward to their visits and phone calls. Each one was so special in her life and truly made her life complete.
Loretta was of the Free Will Baptist faith, a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, friend and neighbor. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel at Thayer with Brother David Honeycutt officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 6th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Thayer Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. of Thayer.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in her memory be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Cancer Research Hospital.
Neva Jo Fraley

Neva Jo Fraley was born the daughter of Bynum Miller and Mildred Hyde Miller on September 23, 1931 at Gatewood, Missouri and departed this life July 1, 2011 in Houston, Missouri at the age of 79 years.
She was united in marriage August 27, 1949 at Thayer, Missouri to Glen Fraley.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Glen Fraley of the home in Houston, Missouri; two daughters, Brenda Manns and husband, Don of Junction City, Kansas and Nancy Branson and husband, David of Houston, Missouri; three grandchildren, Jennifer Rose and husband, Dean of Summerville, South Carolina, Elizabeth Tharp and husband, Loren of West Plains, Missouri and Sara Jo Flora and husband, Jim of Pleasant Hope, Missouri; eight great-grandchildren, PFC Tevin Geike of Ft. Lewis, Washington, Jarod Geike, Morgan Rose, Connie Rose and J.T. Rose, all of Summerville, South Carolina and Abigail Flora, Ellie Flora, and J.D. Flora, all of Pleasant Hope, Missouri; two brothers, Dr. George Miller and wife, Dona of Springfield, Missouri and John Miller and wife, Gayle of Canadensis, Pennsylvania; one sister, Pat Hatman and husband, Gene of Thayer, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Faith Lovelace and husband, Billy Joe of West Plains, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bynum and Mildred Miller; her parents-in-law, Willis and Susan Fraley; a sister-in-law, Clestyl Clark and husband, John and four nephews.
Neva became a member of the First Baptist Church in Thayer at the age of thirteen, serving her church in many ways. After moving to Houston in 2005, she became a member of Ozark Baptist Church and remained a faithful member until her death.
She was a 1949 graduate of Thayer High School. After graduation, she went to work for Ozark Central Telephone Company and continued that line of work, retiring from GTE after 35 years of service.
After retiring, she and her husband, Glen enjoyed traveling and volunteered at Fun and Friends Senior Citizen Center, delivering meals to shut-ins.
Neva Jo will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving and caring mother and grandmother, always having time for her family. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the First Baptist Church at Thayer. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 5th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home in Thayer. Burial will be in the Thayer Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Fun and Friends Senior Center in Thayer or Hospice Care of Houston, Missouri.
Rachaell Michele Ficke
Rachaell Michele Ficke, infant daughter of Michael Joseph Ficke, Jr. and Monica Renee Sutton Ficke, was born June 9, 2011 in Barnes Jewish Hospital at St. Louis, Missouri and departed this life June 27, 2011 in Children’s Hospital at St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 19 days.
She is survived by her parents, Mike and Monica Ficke, Jr. and one sister, Rose Marie Ficke of the family home in Koshkonong, Missouri; maternal grandmother, Janet Sutton of Koshkonong, Missouri; paternal grandparents, Mike and Judy Ficke, Sr. of Pollock, Louisana; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, James Sutton.
Rachaell Michele was a sweet inspiration to her family and is now one of God’s precious Little Angels.
Graveside services will be Friday, July 1, 2011 at 12:00 noon in the Koshkonong Cemetery at Koshkonong, Missouri. The family will receive friends Friday morning from 11:00 to 11:45 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Koshkonong Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
JoAnn Waldrop
Freda JoAnn Waldrop was born the daughter of William Maharg and Hattie Smith Maharg on September 24, 1940 in Newark, Ohio and departed this life June 24, 2011 at her home in Gatewood, Missouri at the age of 70 years.
She is survived by her loving partner, Thomas J. Smith of the home in Gatewood, Missouri; one daughter, Nancy Lingenfelter and husband, Dwayne of Ravenden, Arkansas; four grandsons and their families: Brian Bennett and wife, Melissa and their children, Bailey, Lily and Nancy of Couch, Missouri, William Harris and wife, Rachael and their children, William, Audry and Dawson of Thayer, Missouri, Bobby Weingardner of Truman, Arkansas and his daughter, Ashley of Thayer, Missouri and Gregory Waldrop of Arizona; three granddaughters and their families: Tracy Qualls and husband, Tony and their daughter, Megan of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Marcie Mcutchion and husband, Alan and their son, Ryan of Mesa, Arizona and Sonya Vanderburg and her children, Guy and Chelsea of Ohio. She was proud to have an honorary daughter, Ann Baker, her husband, Wayne and their children, Elizabeth, Erika and Daniel as her extended family and two special friends: Dorris Jennings of Myrtle, Missouri and Jewell Gazaway and husband, Glen of Gatewood, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Hattie Maharg; her husband, Gene Waldrop; one daughter, Sharon Baumann; two sons, Guy and Ronald Evans and one great-granddaughter, Haley.
JoAnn was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. She was a dedicated homemaker, and excellent cook and was loved by all. She will truly be missed by those who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel at Thayer with Brother Glenn Murray officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, June 27th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Hazel Rathman

Hazel A. Rathman was born the daughter of Charles G. Tucker and Cornelius Koester Tucker on September 16, 1914 at Beardstown, Illinois and departed this life June 21, 2011 in Ash Flat, Arkansas at the age of 96 years.
She was united in marriage December 23, 1933 at Beardstown, Illinois to Theodore Rathman, who preceded her in death on August 10, 2005.
She is survived by two daughters, Louise Lusby and husband, Charles of Cherokee Village, Arkansas and Nellie Kuehne and husband, Willard of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Ronald Kuehne of Kalispell, Montana, Kevin Kuehne of Clarkston, Michigan, Dean Lusby of Sunbury, Pennsylvania, Douglas Lusby of Indianapolis, Indiana, Russell Lusby of Baltimore, Maryland and Stephen Lusby of Baltimore, Maryland; nineteen great-grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Cornelius Tucker; her husband, Theodore Rathman; three brothers, John, Raymond and Howard Tucker and two sisters, Mary Hendricker and Helen Davis.
Mrs. Rathman was a dedicated homemaker and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting and crewel work.
She was a member of the Thayer Church of God and the Gideon Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Rathman will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Myrtle Perkins

Myrtle M. Perkins was born the daughter of Samuel E. Williams and Odie I. Dillinger Williams on July 11, 1945 at Wynne, Arkansas and departed this life June 19, 2011 in Thayer, Missouri at the age of 65 years.
She was united in marriage in 1971 at Valdosta, Georgia to Roy “John” Perkins.
She is survived by her husband, Roy “John” Perkins of the home in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; five children, Neil Perkins of Naples, Florida, Kimberly Williams of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Sherry Role of West Roseville, Minnesota, Roy Perkins of Naples, Florida and Edgel Sparks of Michigan; one brother, Lehman Williams of Buena Park, California; two sisters, Trudie Gregory and Nellie Wood, both of Bakersfield, California; ten grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Odie Williams and one sister, Thelma Gregory.
Myrtle was supervisor of the classified ad section for the Naples Daily News in Naples, Florida for 34 years.
She was a member of the Mammoth Spring First Baptist Church, a dedicated homemaker and a devoted wife and mother. She will truly be missed by her family, her friends and the neighborhood in which she lived.

Ruth Crone
Ruth Elvira Crone was born the daughter of Otto Johnson and Olene Moen Johnson on May 18, 1923 at Rushford, Minnesota and departed this life June 15, 2011 at her home in Koshkonong, Missouri at the age of 88 years.
She was united in marriage to Lester Huebner, who preceded her in death. She was united in marriage on August 27, 1962 at Canton, South Dakota to Harold Crone, who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by four children, Jerry Huebner and Sherry Johnson of Brandsville, Missouri, Lorie Forester and husband, Roy of Koshkonong, Missouri, Colleen Bussell and husband, Terry of West Plains, Missouri and Yancey Crone and wife, Brenda of Charleston, Arkansas; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one sister, Gracie Peterson of Nampa, Idaho; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; two sons, Roger Huebner and Larry Huebner; one infant grandson, Troy David Crone; four brothers, Aldous Johnson, George Johnson, Arvid Johnson and Irving Johnson and two sisters, Geneva McElmury and Helen Huebner.
Ruth was a dedicated homemaker and enjoyed the beauty of flowers, especially roses.
Mrs. Crone was of the Baptist faith, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will truly be missed by her family, her friends and the community in which she lived.

Agnes Van Winkle
Valtia Agnes Van Winkle was born the daughter of Henry Lloyd Waggoner and Myrtle Belle Baker-Waggoner on March 30, 1930 in Oregon County, Missouri and departed this life on June 11, 2011 in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 81 years.
She was united in marriage on January 27, 1950 in Salem, Arkansas to George Alex Van Winkle, who preceded her in death on September 20, 1976.
She is survived by four daughters, Linda Van Winkle and Mark Wiedeman of West Linn, Oregon, Patricia Van Winkle of Nixa, Missouri, Martha (Marty) Demidow and husband, Larry of Rolla, Missouri and Deloris Van Winkle of Springfield, Missouri; two granddaughters, Sarah Ruhland and husband, Mike and Ashley Romito and husband, John; two grandsons, Nicholas Beisser and wife, Kelly and Matthew Schilling and wife, Karen; five great grandchildren, Alexandra, Ella, Hailey, Amelia and Micah; one brother, David Waggoner of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Shirley Waggoner-Eisenman of Shallotte, North Carolina and Goldie Walker of Independence, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Myrtle Waggoner; her husband, George (Jack) Van Winkle; one daughter, Sharon Kaye Van Winkle-Schilling; one infant daughter; three brothers, John Wesley, Alvin Lee and Eugene Lloyd Waggoner and two infant sisters.
Agnes was a dedicated homemaker. She spent many hours sewing, crocheting and making quilts for personal use as well as heirlooms for her family.
She was well known as the lady with a green thumb. Agnes loved being outdoors working in her vegetable garden or enjoying the beauty of her flower garden.
She was of the Baptist faith and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her
