Michael Allen Mickey, 62, of West Plains, Missouri passed away at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, October 17, 2015.

He was born September 13, 1953 in Blue Island, Illinois, the son of Harold Mickey, Sr. and Faith “Paulsen” Mickey.

“Mickey” graduated from Richards High School, Alsup, Illinois in 1971, and attended SMSU in West Plains.

He was united in marriage to Marcella Goss on September 1, 1984 in West Plains, Missouri.

Moving to West Plains after graduation he was employed at Ramey Supermarket. Later he was employed with Sunshine Biscuits, Russell Stover and in 2000 opened the Domino’s Pizza franchise. During this time he was blessed with the friendship of Marcus Lipford.
Mickey took pride in serving his community. He had been a member of the Fairview School Board, West Plains Country Club Board, Elks Lodge, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, St. Paul Lutheran Church council, and was currently serving on the board at the Howell County Ambulance Barn.

Wayne Alfred Forester was born January 17, 1937 to Alfred and Nora Lee Coldiron Forester on the family farm near Koshkonong, Missouri, and died on October 12, 2015 in West Plains, Missouri.
He is survived by one sister, Sally Morris and husband Jack, Benbrook, Texas and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Virgie Kathleen Dennison, 72, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at Elk Creek Cemetery, with Brother Bill Bales officiating.

She was born the daughter of the late Hugh Willard and Mildred Earls  Willard,  on August 13, 1943 in West Plains, Missouri and died September 19, 2015 in West Plains, Missouri.

She was united in marriage November 5, 1965 in West Plains, Missouri to Lawrence Dennison.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Dennison, of the home, West Plains, Missouri; two sons, Randy Dennison and wife Darla, West Plains and Roger Dennison and wife Rhonda, Wiscasset, Maine; six grandchildren, Michael Dennison, Cody Dennison, Marshall Dennison, and Monique Dennison, all of West Plains; Jason Dennison and Jaylnn Dennison, both of Wiscasset, Maine and several great grandchildren.

Graveside services for Estie Jane Birdsong, 73, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at Mt. Zion Cemetery, with Brother Bill Bales officiating.

She was born the daughter of the late Lewis S. Croney and Dolly Mae Fields Croney, on May 26, 1942 in Howell County, Missouri and died September 20, 2015 in West Plains, Missouri.

She was united in marriage to Billy Ray Birdsong, who preceded her in death January 24, 2015.

She is survived by five sons, Ervin Birdsong and wife Sharon of Turon, Kansas; Billy Birdsong of Pryor, Oklahoma; Robert Birdsong and wife Mary of Mt. View, Missouri; Jack Birdsong and wife Vicky, and Roger Birdsong and wife, Trish, both of West Plains, Missouri. She is survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren and also several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

Peggy June Barton, daughter of the late Charley Roberts and Maggie Marie (McGehee) Roberts was born in Bakersfield, Missouri June 16, 1943 and departed this life September 15, 2015 at the age of 72.

She was a cheerleader, telephone operator, seamstress, secretary, and business owner.

She was united in marriage March 20, 1961 in West Plains, Missouri to Burvel Dewayne Barton who preceded her in death August 11, 2005.

She is survived by one son, Jeffery Dewayne Barton and wife Carol Ann Galloway Barton, Thayer, Missouri and one brother Jim Roberts and wife Marilyn, Bakersfield; one sister-in-law Lucille Roberts, St. John, Indiana; three grandchildren, Joshua Clint Barton, Nixa, Missouri, Shelby Lane Barton, Thayer, Missouri, Sidney Marie Barton, Thayer, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy Lee (Myers) Crick was born on 5/26/1925 in Bakersfield, Missouri.  Dorothy went to be with the Lord on 9/12/2015 after a long and unforgiving illness.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend T. Noel Crick, her Father, Mother, all Siblings and one Grandson.

Dorothy is survived by Sons M. Noel Crick and wife, Bernadette; ; Louis Crick; Thomas (Tommy) Crick and wife, Mary; Brother-in-Law Melvin Brelsford; and, several grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

Graveside services will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, September 15 in Oak Lawn Cemetery, West Plains with Reverend Harvey C. Hoffman officiating under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.

Graveside services for Margie Ann Goss, 66, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 6, 2015, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.

She was born the daughter of the late Mary Juanita Larson Michaels, on August 18, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri and died September 2, 2015 in Springfield, Missouri.

She was united in marriage April 4, 1983 in West Plains, Missouri to William Goss, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by three children, Tom Skaggs and wife Heather, Christine Wake and husband Duane, and Brayden Skaggs, all of West Plains, Missouri; one brother, Bobby Smith, Salem, Missouri; one sister, Carol Parrett, West Plains, Missouri; one niece, JJ Collins, West Plains, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Tommy Skaggs and wife Amanda, Lonnie Sitzes, Chandele King and husband Mike, Austin Wake and wife Tori, Shelbi Campbell, Billie Jo Weaver, and Tobias Campbell, all of West Plains, Missouri; five great grandchildren, Jordan Weaver, Avery Rose Weaver, Hunter King, Ashlynn King, and Jaylen Wake, all of West Plains, Missouri.

Funeral services for Leland Eugene Parvin, 76, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, with Brother Bill Bales officiating, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.

He was born the son of the late Arthar Elmo Parvin and Lelia Fern Bales Parvin, on January 18, 1939 in Thomasville, Missouri and died August 23, 2015 in West Plains, Missouri.

He was united in marriage in 1960 in Oakland, California to Wilma Sue Clements.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Sue Clements Parvin, of the home, Mountain View, Missouri; three children, Lisa Seitz and husband David, Wonder Lake, Illinois; LaDonna Brentsen and husband Lane, McHenry, Illinois, and Lee Parvin, Mountain View, Missouri; two brothers, Franklin Elmo Parvin and wife Alva, Hayden Lake, Idaho and Richard Dewey Parvin, Hanford, California; six grandchildren, Christie Dentro Braun and husband Garrett, Lake In The Hills, Illinois; Nicholas Dentro, Wonder Lake, Illinois; Ian David Seitz, Wonder Lake, Illinois; Chantel Bentsen, Denver, Colorado; Rachelle Bentsen, McHenry, Illinois; Kylee Bentsen, McHenry, Illinois; three great grandchildren, Olivia Braun, Lake In The Hills, Illinois; Tegar Braun, Lake In The Hills, Illinois, and Donnie Dentro, Wonder Lake, Illinois.

Funeral services for Marilyn McCartney, 60, West Plains, Missouri, will be held Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains. .
She was born the daughter of the late Walter Seymour, Jr. and Loraine Towne Seymour, on April 1, 1955 in Hutchinson, Kansas and died August 8, 2015 in West Plains, Missouri.
She was united in marriage November 7, 1989 in Dennison, Iowa to Larry McCartney.
She is survived by her husband, Larry McCartney, of the home, West Plains, Missouri; three children, Mel Nichols III and wife Kim, San Antonio, Texas, Patrick McCartney, Blair, Nebraska, and Jeremiah McCartney and wife Kelli, Blair, Nebraska; two brothers, John Seymour, Port Isdel, Texas and Robert Seymour, West Plains, and one sister, Patricia Mitchell, Myrtle, Missouri; five grandchildren, Sarah, Zackary, Jakob, Declan, and Keeley.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was a very loving and caring person. She loved spending time with her grandbabies and enjoyed crocheting. She lost her long battle to cancer.
Burial will be in Fremont, Nebraska

Graveside services for Norma Jean Fine, 77, West Plains, Missouri, will be 2:00pm Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at Oak Lawn cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, West Plains.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s or West Plains Public Library for large print books.
She was born the daughter of the Leland Scott and Marie May Scott, on October 21, 1937 in West Plains, Missouri and died August 1, 2015 in West Plains, Missouri at the age of 77 years.
She was united in marriage February 29, 1964 in Kansas City, Missouri to Eddie Fine, who preceded her in death on November 5, 1989.
She is survived by her son Jason Fine and wife Sunni of West Plains; two grandchildren, Zach and Kileigh Conner, West Plains; two brothers, Neal Scott and wife Betty, West Plains, and Joe Scott and wife Jula, West Plains; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends .
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Fine; her parents Leland Scott and Marie May Scott; one brother Kenneth Scott; one sister Susie Martin and special friend Byron Whittaker.
She was a telephone operator in Kansas City. After returning to West Plains, she worked for Eaton for 17 years. She enjoyed watching TV, especially Little House On The Prarie and The Waltons. She liked reading and enjoyed large print books at the West Plains Public Library. She liked to spend time with animals enjoyed doing cross-stitch. She was a Christian and a member of the Curry Street Church Of Christ. She will truly be missed by her family and friends.
