Funeral services for Jennifer Ann Thomas, 38, West Plains, Missouri, will be 2:00 pm Saturday, March 5, 2011, at the Wilderness Freewill Baptist Church with Reverend Ron Blanks and Reverend Ken Simpson officiating under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, West Plains.
She was born the daughter of Beverly Ann Ogden Thomas and the late Donald Ray Thomas, on July 27, 1972 in St. Louis, Missouri and died March 2, 2011 in Springfield, Missouri.
She is survived by her mother Beverly Ann Ogden Thomas; one sister, Tammy French (Terry), West Plains, Missouri; sister-in-law, Jennifer Meyer, O’Fallon, Missouri; three nieces, Amber, Ariel, Rebecca, and two nephews, Brendon and Thomas.
Funeral Services for Mary Anne Talley, 82, Mountain Grove, Missouri, will be 3:00PM Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at the graveside in Oak Lawn cemetery with the Reverend Jack Holland officiating.
She was born the daughter of the late Simeon Felix Taylor and Marian Pauline Phillips Taylor, on January 26, 1929 in Ravenden, Arkansas and died February 26, 2011 in Springfield, Missouri.
She was united in marriage February 28, 1959 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Gerald Talley who preceded her in death March 22, 1988.
She is survived by her son, Jeffery Talley, and wife, Kathy, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; two grandsons, Lance Talley and Erik Talley, both of Ozark, Missouri; one brother, M. Edward Taylor, of Thayer, Missouri; and one sister, Pearl Edith Hines, of Thayer, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Talley; her parents Simeon Felix Taylor and Marian Pauline Phillips Taylor; two brothers, Simeon Felix “Bud” Taylor, Jr. and Paul Alexander Taylor; and one sister, Alice Pauline Mix.
She was the City Collector for the City of Mountain Grove for twenty years. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Mountain Grove. She enjoyed traveling, compiling genealogy and quilting, and was an excellent cook.
Her surviving brother, Ed Taylor, is an active Gideon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gideons and left at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
Juanita Marie Scott, 78, Peace Valley, Missouri, died February 20, 2011 at OMC, West Plains. She was born the daughter of the late Henry Thomas Montgomery and Vera Idel Hawkins Montgomery, on March 11, 1932 in Muleshoe, Texas.
She was united in marriage January 2, 1951 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Kenneth James Scott, who preceded her in death January 24, 2007.
She is survived by three children, Lonny Lee Scott (Pat), New Jersey, Michael Kenneth Scott, New Jersey, and Steven James Scott (Marta), New Jersey; two special friends, Janet Gonzales, West Palm Beach, Florida, and Dawn, state of Utah; two sisters, Emily Russell, Peace Valley, Missouri, and Jane Scaggs, Peace Valley, Missouri; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren, and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sisters, Idel Smith and June Major; one infant brother and one infant sister.
She was a member of Curry Street Church of Christ, West Plains, Missouri
Local arrangements were under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Barnett Cemetery, Howell County, Missouri.
Leota Eades, 82, the daughter of the late Burton L. Surface and Gladys Dennison Surface, on March 30, 1928 in Spooner, Wisconsin and died February 13, 2011 in West Plains, Missouri.
She was united in marriage July 25, 1947 in West Plains, Missouri to Floyd Eades, who preceded her on death August 6, 1983.
She is survived by two children, Rita Kay Mueller (Ed), St. Louis, Missouri, and Bob Eades (Regina), West Plains, Missouri; two brothers, Lawrence Surface (Joyce), West Plains, Missouri, and Gayle Surface (Edith), Pomona, Missouri; four grandchildren, Michele (Brian) Noser, St. Louis, Missouri, Shawn Mueller, St. Louis, Missouri, Trenton Eades, West Plains, Missouri, and Madison Eades, West Plains, Missouri, and one great grandson, Braden Noser, St. Louis, Missouri.

She was born the daughter of the late Lee Wake and Totsie Collins Wake, on July 1, 1925 in Douglas County, Missouri and died February 13, 2011 in Mountain Grove, Missouri.
She was united in marriage April 22, 1940 in Douglas County, Missouri to Eslie Turnbull, who preceded her in death January 1, 1974.
She is survived by two children, Wayne Turnbull and wife, Opal, Springdale, Arkansas, and Ralph Turnbull and wife, Connie, Vanzant, Missouri; one brother, Leslie Wake and wife, Aldean, Crescent City, California; one sister-in-law, Ruby Turnbull, Vanzant, Missouri; ten grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
Johnny J. Pickens, 68, West Plains, died February 6, 2011 at Ozarks Medical Center Hospital in West Plains. Local arrangements are under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
Roy J. Burgess, son of the late Letcher and Hazel Dollins Burgess, was born June 19, 1928, at Pomona, Missouri. He entered into eternal rest February 6, 2011, at the age of 82 years.
He was married on August 29, 1952, at Salem, Arkansas, to Dorothy Mae Green.
Before his retirement he was the owner and operator of Roy Burgess Auto Body Repair. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Curry Street Church of Christ.

She was born the daughter of the late James Norman Fisher and Icil Velma Lasley Fisher, on September 1, 1935 in Carmen, Illinois, and died February 2, 2011 in West Plains, Missouri.
She is survived by three children, Richard Scarlet, Rebecca Powell, and Rhonda Nichols; one sister, Grace Sanders; two brothers, James Fisher and Ronald Fisher; five grandchildren, Jamie Carroll, Joshua Nichols, Justin Powell, James Nichols, and Jacob Nichols; four great grandchildren, Morgan Nichols, Tristan Nichols, Jackson Carroll, and Jameson Carroll.
Charlie Abner Tharp, son of the late Charles Abner and Pearl Emina Johnson Tharp, was born September 23, 1923, at Humble, Texas. He entered into eternal rest in his Father’s house at the age of 87 on January 31, 2011, from his home in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
An Army Veteran of WWII, he married Dorothy Marjorie Rimbey on March 11, 1946, at Newton, Kansas. They enjoyed over 46 years of marriage together prior to her death 18 years ago.
