Phyllis P. Bradley
Phyllis Bradley was born October 31, 1926, in Tekamah, Nebraska to John and Daisy Parish Kropf and departed this life March 2, 2020, in Thayer, Missouri at the age of 93 years.
She married Fred Pulley in Cardin, Oklahoma in 1941. Seven children were born of this union.
Phyllis married Warren Bradley in 1962 in Long Beach, California. They adopted a son in 1965.
She enjoyed many and varied careers including nursing, newspaper editor, free-lance feature writer, and property management.
She attended Northeast Oklahoma A&M University, Barstow Community College, and Long Beach City College. She was a former member of Alpha Psi Omega and International Platform Association and was active in volunteer work for many years.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed making quilts and many other crafts.
Phyllis always considered her family as her greatest achievement and most valued treasure.
She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty years, Warren; five children, Chris Pulley, Sandra Barille, P.J. Klawitter, Mickey Keller and Richard Pulley; step-son, Chris Bradley; grandson, Russell Hance; and two infant granddaughters.
Phyllis is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Reverend Sharon Johnson and Bill of Thayer, Missouri, and Cathryn Mann and Steve of Arizona; one son, Matthew of Florida; fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and eight great-greats.
She had lived in the West Plains-Thayer area since 1988 and had may treasured friends here. At her request, there will be no funeral service.

Jacqueline A. Frealy
Jacqueline Ann Frealy was born the daughter of Virgil Vivian and Cecilia DeVivo Vivian on November 22, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri and departed this life on February 28, 2020 in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 89 years.
She was united in marriage to David N. Frealy on February 22, 1957, who preceded her in death.
Jackie is survived by seven children, Deborah Lundry and husband, Everett, Glennon Frealy and wife, Brenda, Linda Frealy, Donald Frealy, Kathryn Weiss and husband, James, Barbara Mustion and husband, Terry, and Stanley Frealy and wife, Lanette; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Vivian; other relatives; and a multitude of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Cecilia Vivian; one grandson, Austin James Frealy; one grandson-in-law, Bryan Logan Tate; one sister, Virginia Feil; and two brothers, Dick Vivian and Eugene Vivian.
Jackie was a long-time member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Thayer, Missouri.
She attended college in St. Louis and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She was a registered nurse for over sixty-two years, serving in hospitals, clinics and nursing homes.
Jackie was a supporter of Boy’s Town. She also supported the March of Dimes, helping in many fundraisers.
In her spare time, she liked to work crossword puzzles and make photo albums. She made photo albums of her family and made photo albums for her children showing their family history.
Jackie loved food, family and country. She traveled around the country with David and her family while David was in the military.
Most important to Jackie was her family. She loved holidays and other times when all her family got together. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services for Jacqueline A. Frealy will be held on March 5, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Thayer, Missouri with Father Maurice Chukwukere officiating.
The family will receive friends on March 4, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Carter Funeral Home in Thayer, Missouri.
Burial will be at Koshkonong Cemetery in Koshkonong, Missouri with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.
Peggy Ivey Smith
Peggy Ivey Smith was born the daughter of Emil K. Slaughter and Martha Audrey Smith Slaughter, in Oxford, Mississippi on July 8, 1938, and departed this life on February 26, 2020 in Thayer, Missouri at the age of 81 years.
She married Ed Ivey on May 23, 1964, who preceded her in death, and married Henry Smith in 1975, who preceded her in death.
Peggy is survived by her sister, Dottie McKay of Denver, Colorado; her brothers, Gary Slaughter and his wife, Barbara of Odessa, Texas, Rick Slaughter of Thayer, Missouri, and John Slaughter of Thayer, Missouri; her special friend and sister-in-law, Debbie Slaughter; her special nieces, Erin Discher, Whitney Slaughter and Janet Carrillo; her special nephews, Eric Slaughter, Bradley Slaughter, Sean Slaughter and Jerry Slaughter; her niece, Jennifer Vinton; her nephews, Danny Slaughter and Wayne Slaughter; other relatives; and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Audrey Slaughter; her husbands, Ed Ivey and Henry Smith; her sister-in-law, Linda Slaughter; and her brother-in-law, Patrick McKay.
Peggy was a Christian and a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Thayer, Missouri where she attended while she was able.
She attended SMS in Springfield, Missouri, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Peggy loved children which led her to get her college degree and teach elementary students in many of the area schools, including Couch, Alton and Koshkonong.
Peggy loved to play cards. She was an avid reader, reading books of every kind. She also enjoyed bowling, especially with her sister-in-law Debbie.
Peggy not only enjoyed participating in athletic activities, she was also an avid sports fan. She loved the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs, following them during baseball and football seasons.
Peggy loved spending time with family and was known as a very kind, loving and giving person. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

Gerald Wayne Waits
Gerald Wayne Waits was born in Saddle, Arkansas, the son of William Simeon Waits and Doris Albina Riggs Waits on August 26, 1945 and departed this life on February 24, 2020 at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas at the age of 74 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Layne Waits Lancaster and her husband, Jackie; his son, Lawrence Dwayne Waits; one granddaughter, Clara Isabelle Waits; one sister, Virginia Alice Waits Sherley and her husband, Charles; one brother, Kenneth William Waits and his wife, Lana; one niece, Kelly Rhoads Madden and her husband, Robert; other relatives; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Doris Waits; and one sister, Donna Isabelle Waits Rhoads.
Gerald was a Christian and member of the Baptist faith.
Early in his working career, Gerald worked for the Arkansas State fish hatchery at Dam 3 on Spring River and the U.S. Fish Hatchery in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. However, he spent most of his working life as an independent, over-the-road truck driver.
Gerald was an outdoorsman. He liked hunting. He also liked fishing, especially on creeks, streams and rivers.
He enjoyed supporting his granddaughter, especially in her rodeo competitions. He will truly be missed by his family and all that knew him.

Della Faye Agnew
Della Faye Agnew was born in Fulton County, Arkansas, the daughter of Lewis Geib and Lura Hatfield Geib on December 16, 1939 and departed this life on February 16, 2020 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 80 years.
Della was united in marriage to Walter Donald Agnew on October 3, 1964 in Fulton County, Arkansas.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Agnew; her nephew, Mark Gower and his wife, Sonyia; her nieces, Marilynn Wheeler and her husband, Ben, and Sharon Brewer and her husband, Daniel; her sister-in-law, Hazel Gower and her husband, Bill; many great nieces and great nephews; other relatives; and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Lura Geib; her brother, Ray Geib and her infant twin brother, John Geib; and her niece, Janet Gower.
Della was a Christian and a member of the Delhalf Church of Christ.
Before she married Donald, Della worked at the Missouri Pacific Hospital in St. Louis. After they were married, Donald and Della worked together. For a long period, they ran a logging business. Later, they carried mail in Fulton County, Arkansas.
In her spare time, Della liked to cross-stitch, complete word search puzzles, gardening and spending time on the farm.
Della was a loving wife and aunt. She will truly be missed by all that knew her.
Funeral services for Della Faye Agnew will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at 1:00 PM at the Delhalf Church of Christ in Myrtle, Missouri with Mike Stone and Jeff Lancaster officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Delhalf Church of Christ in Myrtle on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, from 12:00 PM to service time.
Interment will be in Pilot Cemetery in Fulton County, Arkansas with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.

Mary Louise Clausing
Mary Louise Clausing was born September 6th 1934 in Wirth Arkansas, the daughter of Cloyd Virgil Sellers and Rebecca Estelle Brake Sellers (deceased Oct 4 1934). Mary departed this life on February 15, 2020 at her home in West Plains, Missouri at the age of 85.
She is survived by two sons, Rudolph Clausing Jr. (wife Gloria) and Rick Clausing (wife Stacey recently deceased) and one daughter, Gina Clausing-Dawe (husband Travis Dawe); ten grandchildren, Cameron, Caleb, Colter, Chase, Anna, Abrielle, Rick Jr., Robert, Max, and Justice; six great grandchildren, Jacob, Alexa, Lacey, Landon, Maryn, and Rue; two brothers, Harold Sellers and Carl Sellers; three sisters, Margaret Sanders, Barbara Russell and Glenda Root.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cloyd and Florence Sellers, her husband Rudolph; and two brothers, Troy Sellers and Sherman Sellers.
Mary was a Christian women who taught her children the Bible, loved watching TV sermons and listening to gospel music.
As a child she picked cotton with her family. Later, she worked at the bus station in Thayer, Missouri and the Nuway Burger in Kansas City where she met her husband Rudolph.
After they were married, she raised three children.
Mary was a devoted wife, caregiver, and homemaker with the most gentle spirit and a heart of gold. She was kind and thoughtful to a fault, and an incredible cook who always offered food to family, friends, and strangers alike.
She will truly be missed by her family and all that knew and loved her.

Ronald Wayne Trobaugh
Ronald Wayne Trobaugh, 67, of Koshkonong, Missouri was born on November 7, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri, the first child of Walter and Pauline (Murphy) Trobaugh. There the family resided until moving to the country just a few miles west of Thayer, MO in 1968. Ronald finished his education at Koshkonong High School, where he enjoyed playing baseball, and graduated in 1970.
He was called to duty by his country, serving in the United States Army from 1970 to 1972. Following his service, he worked for a time for the United States Forest Service, worked at his father’s sawmill, and worked with his father in construction on many buildings and homes in Thayer, Mammoth Spring and Cherokee Village, including, ironically, Carter Funeral Home.
In 1976 he was married to Rosemary Staley, and though the union did not last a lifetime, they gifted the world with two amazing sons, Jody Trobaugh and Gabriel (Gabe) Trobaugh.
Ron was interested in many things and tried his hand at small dairy farming and raising hogs. He worked at a local sawmill and eventually went into business for himself, running his own sawmill until his health forced him to retire in 1996.
In 1993 fate brought Ron together with Theresa (Chris) Cushing and her ten year old son, Nathan, who he treated as his own. After 14 years together, Ron and Chris were married on September 29, 2007, the anniversary of their first date. During the course of their 27 years together, Ron and Chris added two young toddlers, nephews, to their home, and Adam and Alex Rosseau grew up calling them Dad and Mom.
He loved so many things in life. Family first, wife, children and grandkids. He loved Nascar, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs. He loved coaching his kids in Little League when they were young and watching his grandkids play sports. Ron liked to watch old westerns and read western books. Auctions were a favorite pastime and he loved cars. He was a Ford man and dreamed of one day restoring his 63 ½ Ford Galaxie. His story telling about the past is something his family will cherish – so many stories.
Ron is survived by his wife, Chris Trobaugh; his sons, Jody Trobaugh and Gabe Trobaugh (Becka); his adopted “sons”, Adam and Alex Rosseau; his sister, Linda (Trobaugh) Wheeler; his grandchildren, Ireland, Paige, Asa, Bailey, McKinna and Evan; several cousins, nieces and nephews and their children; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Pauline Trobaugh; his brother, James Ray Trobaugh; and his stepson, Nathan Cushing.
