Deborah Ann Ray was born in Thayer, Missouri, the daughter of Albert Ray Ellison and Edna Shelton Ellison on December 21, 1954 and departed this life on April 24, 2020 at her home in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas at the age of 65 years. 

Debbie united in marriage to Raymond M. Ray on August 3, 1973 in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Ray; her two children, Nikki Davis and husband, Michael, and Stephen Ray; six grandchildren, Blake Davis, Tyler Davis, Savannah Ray, Slade Ray, Seth Ray, and Summer Ray; her father, Albert Ray Ellison; her two sisters, Susan Schwartz and Sherry Drumwright and husband, James; other relatives; and many friends.

Debbie was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Ellison; and one son, Raymond Ray, III.  

She was a Christian and baptized in the Baptist faith.  Debbie was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.

Debbie loved shopping and collecting antiques.  She enjoyed finding bargains at flea markets and auctions.  One of her favorite pastimes was decorating for the holidays and cooking large meals for her family.

She especially treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren.  Debbie will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister and Nana.  She is truly loved and adored by many and will be greatly missed.

Graveside services for Deborah Ann Ray will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland, Arkansas with Brother Jimmy Lemonds officiating.

Burial will be on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 in Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland, Arkansas with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.

    We have had the blessing of knowing Debbie and Raymond and all the family, She was a loving caring lady. She loved when they came down to visit all of us. Debbie will be Truly missed. It is a blessing to know she is in Heaven, and never has to be sick or sad anymore. She is going to keep watching over her whole family Until they all meet again. Debbie, we all love you and will miss you more than anyone will ever know. To Raymond and his wonderful family. We are blessed to have you all in our family.     So so sorry to hear of your loss. Debbie will be missed by so many people. Raymond you and your family was so blessed to have her in your life. i know it will be hard, but life goes on and so will each of you. God has gained a beautiful angel. In our prayers Love Always, Jerry and Patty.
