Erma Jean Cook was born the daughter of George W. McClintock and Mary V. Sampson McClintock on November 24, 1943 at Cisne, Illinois and departed this life April 4, 2011 in West Plains, Missouri at the age of 67 years.
She was united in marriage April 20, 1963 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to Joe Cook.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Cook of the home in Myrtle, Missouri; two brothers, George Ray McClintock of Arcadia, Florida and Billy Raymond McClintock of Jonesboro, Arkansas; seven nieces and nephews; four great nieces and nephews; several other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary McClintock.
Erma worked along side her parents as clerk in the McClintock Grocery Store at Myrtle for several years. She enjoyed growing pretty flowers in her yard and harvesting vegetables from her garden.
She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Egypt, Arkansas and will be remembered as a loving wife, sister and aunt. She will truly be missed by all.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel at Thayer, Missouri. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 6 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial will be in the Myrtle Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. of Thayer.

Esther Lorene Bresee was born the daughter of Otto Sterling Johnston and Alice Marie Bailey Johnston on April 9, 1944 in Wilson County, Kansas and departed this life April 4, 2011 in West Plains, Missouri at the age of 66 years.
She was united in marriage November 12, 1957 in Iola, Kansas to Gene Bresee.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Bresee of the home at Thayer, Missouri; four children, Edward Eugene Bresee of West Plains, Missouri, Charlene Herring and husband, Frank of West Plains, Missouri, James Brian Bresee and wife, Gina of West Plains, Missouri and Janet Brewer of Alton, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one brother, Harold Johnston and wife, Joan of Arkansas; two sisters, Ruby Bogges and husband, Carol of Oklahoma and Shirley Remy of Springfield, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Alice Johnston and two brothers, Howard and Lester Johnston.
Esther was employed at Shady Oaks Health Care in Thayer, Missouri for 7 ½ years as housekeeper. She was a dedicated homemaker and deeply devoted to her family. She will be remembered by each as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
She will truly be missed by her family, her many friends and all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel at Thayer, Missouri with Pastor Donnie Finley officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 6th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Thayer Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.

Martha Yates was born the daughter of Thelbert Smith and Delphia Byers Smith on December 7, 1949 in Hardy, Arkansas and departed this life March 29, 2011 in Tijuana, Mexico at the age of 61 years.
She was united in marriage April 21, 1965 in Hardy, Arkansas to Jearl Yates.
She is survived by her husband, Jearl of the home near Hardy, Arkansas; three children, Mary Cypert and husband, Patrick of Chillicothe, Missouri, Eddie Yates and wife, Nancy of Hardy, Arkansas and Candice Jackson and husband, Curtis of Hardy, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Matthew, Elisabeth and Hannah Cypert, James and William Yates and Levi Jackson; two sisters, Mary Ladd of Williford, Arkansas and Linda Denny and husband, Wayne of Plano, Illinois; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thelbert and Delphia Smith; one brother, W.D. Smith and one brother-in-law, Clarence Ladd.
Martha was employed by White River Area Agency on Aging as a home health aid. She was a Christian and a member of Banks Baptist Church. She was a dedicated homemaker, a wonderful cook and deeply devoted to her family. She will be remembered by each as a loving, kind and caring wife, Mother, grandmother and sister.
She will truly be missed by her family, her many friends and the community in which she lived.

Burial will be in the Smith Cemetery at Hardy, Arkansas with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.

Roy Edward Rideout was born the son of Robert T. Rideout and Vera E. Bussel Rideout on August 26, 1948 in Koshkonong, Missouri and departed this life April 3, 2011 at his home in Koshkonong, Missouri at the age of 62 years.
He was united in marriage April 14, 1969 in Tampa, Florida to Delsie Howell.
He is survived by his wife, Delsie Rideout, of the home in Koshkonong, Missouri; one son, Douglas Paul Rideout and wife, Shelly of Clarksville, Arkansas; one daughter, Julie Ann Humphreys and husband, Mike of Hernando, Mississippi; five grandsons, Mason, Tyler, Alex, Dillon and Nick; three granddaughters, Haley, Lauren and Bailey; two sisters, Kay Botzenhart and husband, Walter of West Plains, Missouri and Terry Tinsley and husband, Eldon of Koshkonong, Missouri; his mother-in-law, Marie Howell of Koshkonong, Missouri; two aunts, Mabel Uhlmann and Dortha Taylor, both of West Plains, Missouri; one uncle, Henry Rideout of Palo Alto, California; four sisters-in-law and husbands, Betty and Lewis Childers, Wilma and Jim Boze and Shirley and John Smith, all of Koshkonong, Missouri and Jeannie and Dale Kester of Branson, Missouri; two brothers-in-law and wives, Jimmie and Virginia Howell and Jackie and Amy Howell, all of Koshkonong, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Vera Rideout; his grandmother, Hester Bussel and his father-in-law, Norman Howell.
Roy was a former member of the Missouri Army National Guard, a livestock farmer and enjoyed golf.
He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and neighbor. He will truly be missed by all.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Wayside Cemetery at Koshkonong, Missouri with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.

Stephen Paul Summers was born on June 14, 1981 at Munster, Indiana but was raised in West Plains, Missouri. He passed away on March 24, 2011 in West Plains, Missouri at the age of 29.
He was united in marriage to Heather Collins on August 3, 2003 in Willow Springs, Missouri.
Stephen is survived by his wife, Heather Summers; three children, Bryson James, Maylee Grace, and Hayden Paul, of the family home. His mother, Vickie Pickens, brother Anothny Summers, sister, Stephanie Sanders, all of West Plains, Missouri. His in-laws, Richard and Lois Bryson, of Williford, Arkansas, and brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Tammy Miller and children, Michael and BreAnna, of Willow Springs, Missouri. Stephen is further survived by other in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Paul Albinus Roberts was born the son of James Henry Roberts and Lillie Odessa Gage Roberts on May 31, 1918 in Oregon County, Missouri and departed this life March 29, 2011 at his home in Thayer, Missouri at the age of 92 years.
Graveside services for Flora Jane Pyles, 89, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2011, New Liberty Cemetery, with Reverend Larry Petro officiating, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
She was born the daughter of the late Isaac Beckworth and Martha Byerly Beckworth, on March 25, 1922 in Jasper Texas and died March 27, 2011 in West Plains.
She is survived by one daughter, Pearl Lassiter, Overland Park, Kansas; one grandson, Edward Winkler, Kansas City, Kansas; one granddaughter, Ann McKeown, Plano, Texas, and three great grandchildren.

Walter Wilson Cook was born the son of Napaleon Dallas Cook and Martha Ann McIntire Cook on March 17, 1921 at Gordonville, Missouri and departed this life March 25, 2011 in Thayer, Missouri at the age of 90 years.
He was united in marriage May 21, 1960 in Rockford, Illinois to Bettie Bryant.
He is survived by his wife, Bettie Cook of the home in Thayer, Missouri; five children, Carolyn Mercer of Arlington, Tennessee, Darlene Worley of Elkland, Missouri, Gary Cook of Nixa, Missouri, Lori Jewell of Thayer, Missouri and Clinton Huff of Allen, Texas; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grand-children; four great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Ellen Dickey of Sikeston, Missouri and Esther Roberts of Harrison, Arkansas, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Napaleon and Martha Cook; one son, Larry Cook; one daughter, Lois Ann McComas; two grandsons; one great grandson and twenty brothers and sisters.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army, proudly serving his country during World War II. He was a member of the VFW Post 7831 in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.
Mr. Cook was a talented carpenter and will be remembered by many for his trim work. He was a Christian and attended Union Hill Baptist Church for many years. He was deeply devoted to his family and will truly be missed by all.
Funeral services for Walter Cook, age 90, of Thayer, Missouri will be held Monday, March 28, 2011 at 2:00 PM in Carter Funeral Home Chapel with Brother John Holesapple officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, from 1:00 PM until time of service. Burial will be in Eagles Rest Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, INC in Thayer.

She was born the daughter of the late Ervin S. White and Clara Rebecca Kissee White, on April 14, 1932 in Sparta, Missouri and went to be with the Lord on March 24, 2011 in Springfield, Missouri.
She was united in marriage June 27, 1953 in Kansas City, Missouri to Everett Lindsey Anderson, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son, Gregory Allen Anderson, wife, Angie, Daggett, California; two brothers, Clifford White, wife, Virginia, Springfield, Missouri, and Richard White, wife, Betty, Wyandotte, Oklahoma; one sister, Rosemary Gilbert, husband, Dan, Forsyth, Missouri; two grandsons, Eric Anderson, wife, Karina, Barstow, California, and Alex Mir, Las Vegas, Nevada; one great grandson, Gabriel Anderson, Barstow, California; many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and a special “like daughter”, Keri Elrod, West Plains.
