Funeral services for Hazel Fern Owens, 76, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2015, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, with Pastor Mike Heston officiating, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
She was born the daughter of the late Henry Washington Fox and Beulah Mae Jacobs Fox, on March 11, 1939 in Lutesville, Missouri and died May 11, 2015 in West Plains, Missouri.
She was united in marriage June 29, 1958 in Marble Hlll, Missouri to Wayne D. Owens.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne D. Owens, of the home, West Plains, Missouri; two brothers, Alvin Fox, Advance, Missouri, and Rick Fox, O’Fallon, Missouri; one sister, Marilyn Sitze, Mt. Sterling, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jackie Rowland Fox and David Rodney Fox; two sisters, Wanda Mae Huffman and Mabel Lucille White.
She was a loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend to many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ball Cemetery and can be left at Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
Visitation will be held one hour before the service, May 16, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.
Burial will be in Ball Cemetery, Ozark County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
