Pete will be remembered for his long-time career as an educator in the public and private schools. His students remember him fondly for causing them to learn and having fun doing it! One student shared that he remembers Mr. T having them raise their feet so as not to be bitten by sharks swimming around while he read a book about sharks. He would stand on his desk and pretend it was Huckleberry Finn’s barge floating down the Mississippi River. Most of his students credit him for giving them appreciation for Greek Mythology.
Besides sharing his love for learning he was known for teaching others how to do their best in swimming, biking, and running events. He was even nicknamed” Ironman” due to his numerous Ironman Triathlon races.
Best of all, he loved the Lord and looked forward to spending eternity with His Savior!
