Emma Roberts

Emma Belle Roberts was born the daughter of Delbert Ellsworth Yeager and Mary Tennessee (Webb) Yeager on September 16, 1925, in Moody, Missouri, and departed this life on December 8, 2014 in Springfield, Missouri at the age of eighty-nine years.
She was united in marriage on November 6, 1943, at Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Claude W. Walker who preceded her in death on June 11, 1944.  She was united in marriage on April 2, 1949,  in Salem, Arkansas, to R. Garfield Collins who preceded her in death on February 9, 1963.  She was united in marriage on February 24, 1969, to Roy B. Roberts.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Boykin and husband, Phil of Mountain Grove, Missouri; two granddaughters, Kimberly K. Thomas and husband, Chris of Willard, Missouri, and Lacey J. Collins of Phoenix, Arizona; one grandson, Dylan R. Collins and fiancé, Kristen Douglas of Springfield, Missouri; one great granddaughter, Kalli K. Hoevelman of Norfolk, Virginia; one great grandson, Kane M. Collins of Springfield, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; her parents; her husbands; her son, Larry Collins; two brothers, Claude and Charley Yeager; and four sisters, Nadine Collins, Julie Orr, Blanche Hunter and Mildred Collins.
Emma attended elementary school in Moody, and graduated from Bakersfield High School.  She enjoyed laughing and being in the company of good friends.  She will be remembered for her wonderful smile and will truly be missed by all.
A special thanks to Dr. Lori MacPherson and staff for their exceptional care through the years, to Cox South and staff for their compassionate care during her final hours.  Special thanks also to the staff of Landmark Villa in Cabool for the love and care she received; she considered Landmark her home and the staff her family.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 12, 2014, at the Friendship Cemetery near Mountain Grove, Missouri with Brother Roger Flint officiating, and under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in West Plains.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, and may be left at Carter Funeral Home in West Plains.
