Melvin Lesley Brazeal was born the son of Claude Brazeal and Berta (Whiteside) Brazeal on March 19, 1946, in Thayer, Missouri, and died July 4, 2016, at his home near Koshkonong , Missouri, at the age of 70 years.
He was united in marriage on December 18, 1970, at Thayer, Missouri, to Beverly Lancaster.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Brazeal of the home near Koshkonong, Missouri; two daughters, Crystal Young and husband, David of Springdale, Arkansas and Christina Hillmann and husband, Gregor of Staplehurst, Nebraska; three grandchildren, Autumn Young, Austin Young and Megan Hillmann; several nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; eight brothers and sisters, Lee Edward Brazeal, Wesley Brazeal, Lorene Scott, Norma Jean Elliott, twin sisters, Eulah and Beulah Bowers, Louise Bowers and James Edgar Brazeal.
Melvin was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a successful farmer owning both dairy and beef operations for many years.
Melvin will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will truly be missed by his family and the community in which he lived.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM at the Wayside cemetery, Koshkonong Missouri. Services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. Thayer Missouri.
Flora Marie Crawford, age 92, of Thayer, Missouri, formerly of Myrtle, Missouri died at 9:48 Am on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Misssouri.

Frances Marie (Williams) Sanders was born the daughter of Marvin Elza Williams and Eva May (Combs) Williams on August 27, 1927, in Couch, Missouri, and departed this life on June 3, 2016, at Shepherd’s View Assisted Living in Alton, Missouri, at the age of 88 years.
She was united in marriage on March 29, 1944, at Pocahontas, Arkansas, to Carl Franklin Sanders, who preceded her in death on December 29, 1982.
She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Lawrence and husband, Jim of Couch, Missouri; her grandson, Jeff Lawrence and wife, Sandy of Couch; two great-grandchildren, Jake Lawrence and wife, Mindy of Thayer, Missouri, and Sara Sorrell and husband, Anthony of Springfield, Missouri; three great-great grandchildren, Mya, Jarrett, and Shyann, all of Thayer; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Williams of Van Buren, Missouri, and Jessilee Sanders of West Plains, Missouri; two nephews, Edward Sanders of Memphis, Tennessee, and Allen Sanders of Alton, Missouri; one niece, Donna (Sanders) Hayes and husband, Mike of West Plains; three great-nephews, Brian, Mark, and Nathan Sanders; one great-niece, Courtney (Sanders) Smith; one aunt, Louise Combs; several cousins; other relatives, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Eva Williams; her husband, Carl Sanders; her brother, Waldo Williams; father-in-law, Robert Sanders, Sr.; mother-in-law, Vertie (Russell) Sanders and step mother-in-law, Minnie (Baker) Sanders; two brothers-in-law, Oren Sanders and Robert Sanders, Jr.; one sister-in-law, Vesta Sanders; a dear friend, Malcolm German; several uncles, aunts, and cousins; and many classmates, neighbors, and friends.
Frances was a graduate of Alton High School with the class of 1945. She and local classmates retained a very close relationship and looked forward to attending the Alton Alumni Meeting together each year.
She was a farm lady, working faithfully along side her husband, Carl on their dairy and beef cattle farm, until his untimely death at the age of 60. Frances continued operation and management of the farm with assistance from her family and other young men in the community until her retirement. She was a hard worker, and strived to fulfill her goal of maintaining a successful farming operation. Above all, she enjoyed living on her favorite hill on the family farm in Oregon County.
After retirement, Frances enjoyed working in her garden, growing beautiful flowers, cooking, especially her famous apple pie, and traveling. Excitement would grow as each travel date approached for pending trips aboard travel buses with new found friends or the numerous shopping trips and shared birthday dinners with good friends.
She was a Christian and a long-time member of the Garfield Free Will Baptist Church, where she faithfully attended and enjoyed studying God’s Word, singing gospel songs, and the fellowship of friends and neighbors.
Even as she struggled with the trials of her illness, her faith never wavered as she faced each day with courage, determination, and grace.
She was affectionately given several different names throughout the years such as mom, grandma, grandma Frances, Miss Frances, Francie, and even old man Frances by those who loved her and knew her best.
Frances loved her family and was so proud to be blessed with the fifth generation. She will be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother and a loyal friend and neighbor. She will be missed by her family, friends, her Shepherd’s View family, and the community in which she lived.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 5, 2016, at 2:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri, with Brother Keith Combs, Brother Jake Lawrence, and Brother Richard Robinson officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Thayer Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Gideon’s International and may be left at the funeral home.
Robert Lee Caldwell was born the son of Roy Lee Caldwell and Amy (Thompson) Caldwell on May 25, 1947, in Couch, Missouri, and died June 2, 2016, at his home in Lanton, Missouri, at the age of 69 years.
He was united in marriage on June 11, 1966, at Alton, Missouri, to Marie Clapp.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Caldwell of the home in Lanton, Missouri; one daughter, Michelle Parrish and husband, Chad of Koshkonong, Missouri; two sons, Rusty Lee Caldwell and fiancee, Chastity of Koshkonong, Missouri and Ryan Caldwell and wife, Devon of Grubville, Missouri; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Caldwell; and one sister, Ginger Ann Neal.
As many will remember, Robert enjoyed hard work. He was a dairy farmer for many years. Later, he, along with his wife, Marie, owned and operated Lanton Crossroad Convenience store in Lanton, Missouri. He enjoyed his family, especially spending time with his grandkids. Robert was as avid reader and enjoyed attending auctions.
He will truly be missed by his family, friends and neighbors.

Elsie May (Armstrong) Holman was born the daughter of Van Buren Armstrong and Martha Priscilla (Cozort) Armstrong on January 9, 1939, in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, and departed this life May 31, 2016, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 77 years.
She was united in marriage on January 27, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois, to Bob Holman, who preceded her in death on March 15, 2002.
She is survived by four daughters, Vanessa Leah Farkas and husband, Patrick of Rogersville, Missouri, Malisa Lynn Boring and husband, Tony of Seymour, Missouri, Teresa Leann Latham of Nikiski, Alaska, and Lesa Linnea Ehret and husband, Steve of Thayer, Missouri; six grandchildren, Jody Holman, Brian Brashear, Boyd Brashear, Bobby Latham, Jon Ehret and Chelsea Ehret; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Geneva Smith of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and Veneda Dillard of Pontiac, Michigan; one brother, David Armstrong of Kansas; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Van Buren and Martha Armstrong; her husband, Bob Holman; four sisters, Wilma Cherry, Nadine Smith Jeanette Romine and Thelma Armstrong; and two brothers, Cloyse Armstrong and Pete Armstrong.
Elsie was a member of the Thayer Church of Christ and attended as long as health permitted. She was a seamstress and worked in garment manufacturing. She was a farm wife and was also an avid gardener.
Elsie will truly be missed by her family and all who knew her.

Michael Joe Wicker was born the son of Bobby Joe Wicker and Anita Jewell (Ehrhardt) Wicker on December 27, 1956, in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, and departed this life on May 28, 2016, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, at the age of 59 years.
He was united in marriage on March 3, 1980, at Thayer, Missouri, to Misti Harkleroad.
He is survived by his father, Bobby Joe Wicker and wife Linda of Myrtle, Missouri; one son, Tommy Joe Wicker of Wichita, Kansas; one sister, Kim Davis and husband, Ron of Thayer, Missouri; one niece, Brianna Crase and husband, Adam of Thayer, Missouri; two uncles, Herbert Wicker of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and W.C. Wicker of Indiana; one aunt, Connie Jean Hackworth of Bethalto, Illinois, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Anita Wicker.
Michael will be remembered as a talented musician. He played in numerous bands, including Back Flash and Southern Edge. He will also be remembered for his love of car racing.
He was of the Assembly of God faith and attended First Assembly of God church in Thayer for several years.
Michael will truly be missed by his family and many friends.

Gary David Garrison, was born the son of Oba Garrison Jr.and Rosemary Garrison on July 5, 1956, in Kansas City , Missouri, and departed this life May 25, 2016, in Thayer, Missouri at the age of 59 years.
He was united in marriage to Dianna Williams, and to this union, one child was born, Jennifer Lynne Garrison.
He is survived by his mother, Rosemary Garrison Mainprize and step-father, George A. Mainprize; one daughter, Jennifer Lynne Garrison of Kansas City, Missouri; one grandson, Wyatt Schreiber; one brother, Larry Dale Garrison, and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Oba Garrison Jr.
Gary attended Thayer High School and completed 12 grades. He was employed as a truck driver for many years and worked as a pilot escort driver with Paul Mueller Company for the last several years.
Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling around the country as a truck driver. Gary also loved to play golf.
He will be remembered by his family and friends as a kind and caring person. He will truly be missed by all.

Mattie Estes was born the daughter of Jesse Isaac McHenry and Emily Rosetta (Pulley) McHenry on May 25, 1915, in Saddle, Arkansas, and departed this life May 19, 2016 in Salem, Arkansas, at the age of 100 years.
She was united in marriage on October 29, 1938, at Agnos, Arkansas, to William Estes who preceded her in death on June 19, 1995.
She is survived by one brother, William Isaac McHenry of Raymore, Missouri; many loved and cherished nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Emily McHenry; her husband, William Estes; two brothers, Curtis and Loyd McHenry; and five sisters, Gussie McHenry, Grace Hurtt, Agnes Mooney, Oletha Haney and Emily Shaver.
Mrs. Estes was a long time member of the Mammoth Spring Church of Christ. She enjoyed time spent with her family, quilting, and growing both vegetables and flowers in her garden. She was an excellent cook and was well known for her delicious pies and other pastries. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a kind and caring person. She will truly be missed by all.

Chloe Joy Whiteside received her ultimate healing on May 5, 2016. After struggling for five weeks, she passed gently from the arms of her loving parents to the arms of Jesus.
While Chloe’s life seems far too short to many, she taught us more in her five weeks on this earth than many accomplish in a lifetime. Chloe Joy’s life helped us realize each day is truly a gift to be cherished and an opportunity to be a light for others.
Chloe Joy is the answer to the prayers of her mother as her birth was awaited with joyful expectation. During her brief visit on earth she enjoyed being held and cuddled by her parents and being kissed and snuggled nonstop by her adoring older brothers, who loved helping her choose from her many bows. Chloe had an angelic face that melted the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Chloe Joy is the daughter of Devin and Samantha Whiteside of Jenks, Oklahoma. Survivors also include her brothers, Christian, Cole, Connor, and Camden; grandparents, Elton and Cindy Botard, Sam and Billie Rhoades and Don and Brenda Whiteside; great grandparents, Bill and Hazel Drye; aunt and uncle, Leslie and Jeremy Allen; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
