Robert Dewayne Lacy was born on September 23, 1945 in Kennett, Missouri, and passed away on September 15, 2016 in West Plains, Missouri, at the age of 70 years.

He is survived by two children, Kelly Dewayne Lacy of Springfield, Missouri and LaSonya Kay Lacy of Jonesboro, Arkansas; seven brothers, John Hall and wife, Donna and Terry Hall and wife, Cheryl, all of Myrtle, Missouri, David Lacy and wife, Linda, Eric Lacy and wife, Tina of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Gary Lacy of Broseley, Missouri, Crocket Lacy and wife, Karen of Memphis, Tennessee and Ronnie Lacy and wife, Doris of Bell City, Missouri; five sisters, Orlanda (Sis) Trimble and husband, Norman and Beverly Martin and husband, Steve, all of Thayer, Missouri, Bertha Hancock and husband, Larry of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Linda Yaktin and husband, Homam of Stoutsville, Ohio and Karla Hopper and husband, Dorris of Doniphan, Missouri; a special sister-in-law, Connie Lacy of Bloomfield, Missouri; two aunts, Bernice Sims of Alton, Missouri and Irene Owens of Homestead, Florida; one uncle, John Sherrod and wife, June of Covington, Tennessee; many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Margie Hall and Clarence Lacy; five brothers, Felix Reeder Hall, Dennis Lacy, Steven Lacy, Richard Lacy and John Lacy.

Robert was a veteran proudly serving his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War.

He was a drywall installer, owning and operating L & M Drywall for many years. Later, he was employed as a truck driver for McLane Transport of Poplar Bluff, Missouri retiring after several years of service.

Robert was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing and bow hunting and looked forward to deer season each year.

Robert was of the Pentecostal faith. He was deeply devoted to his family, and most of all, cherished time spent with his children, Kelly and Sonya.

He will truly be missed by his family and many friends.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Cotton Creek Free Will Baptist Church, near Couch, Missouri. Burial will be in Cotton Creek Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. of Thayer, Missouri.
