Anita Faye (Ellison) Branstetter was born the daughter of Roy Ellison and Opal (Wilkening) Ellison on March 29, 1936, in Fulton County, Arkansas, and departed this life on March 7, 2014, at her home near Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, at the age of 77 years.

She is survived by her companion, Jim Carl of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; one son, Terry Branstetter and wife, Sarah of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Jesse Branstetter and wife, Cassie of West Plains, Missouri, Cody Branstetter of Springfield, Missouri, Emily and Nolan Branstetter both of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; one great grandson, Kyler Branstetter of West Plains, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Opal Ellison.

Anita was employed by AT&T in Kansas City, Missouri, retiring after thirty-six years, seven months, and seven days of service. After her retirement, she returned to the family farm where she enjoyed caring for her cows, goats and other farm animals including her dogs, Buddy and Mary, and her cats, Puddy Cat, Reba, Trace, Mildred and numerous other cats.

She was a Christian and will be remembered as a loving companion, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and neighbor. She will truly be missed by all.

Graveside services for Ms. Branstetter will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, March 11, 2014, in the Sturgeon Cemetery, near Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.

The family will receive friends at the Sturgeon Cemetery on Tuesday from 2:00 PM until the service time.

Burial will be in the Sturgeon Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
