Mae Esther Whiteside Laster Frazier was born May 3, 1916, the eighth child of John Henry and Julia Isabell Victoria Hazelwood Whiteside at Fryatt, Arkansas, and departed this life August 31, 2012 at Shady Oaks Healthcare in Thayer, Missouri at the age of 96 years.

She was united in marriage on December 23, 1939 to Hugh Laster, who passed away just six years later in 1946. She was again united in marriage on May 3, 1950 to Terry Dalton Frazier who also preceded her in death in 2000.

She is survived by one son, Hugh Laster Jr. of Sherwood, Arkansas; three daughters, Bette Langston and husband, Keith, Mary Jane Taylor and husband, Larry and Elouise Johnson and husband, Doug, all of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Allen Laster, Julia Chance and husband, Bobby, Randal Langston and wife, Melinda, Beverly Goans and husband, Ed, Kristi Taylor, Jennifer Crowe and husband, Chuck, Karen Alexander and husband, Joshua; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hugh Laster and Terry Dalton Frazier, and nine brothers and sisters, Wesley, Elzie, Bertha, Everett, Flora, William, Sidney, Clay and Tressie.

Mae was a dedicated homemaker and enjoyed helping her husband with the operation of their dairy farm. She was an avid gardener who loved to read and crochet and was affectionately known by her grandchildren as “Ma Mae.”

Mrs. Frazier was a member of Burks Chapel Church of Christ. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Frazier will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, September 3, 2012 in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel at Thayer, Missouri. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday morning from 9:00 AM until the service begins. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery at Saddle, Arkansas.

    Mae was a wonderful woman, wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by many, but all of us and her loved ones know she is in God’s hands with no more pain! We are truly sorry we can’t be with all of you! We are with you in thought and many prayers. We love you all very much! May God’s blessings be on all of you.
