Wanda Lou (Smith) Moore was born the daughter of Claude Orvis Smith and Geneva Ruth (Armstrong) Smith on November 9, 1941, in Thayer, Missouri, and departed this life April 24, 2014, at her home in Thayer, Missouri, at the age of 72 years.
She is survived by two sons, John Michael Harrison and wife, Ohako of Bangkok, Thailand, and Jake Daniel Moore and wife, Edeniz of Valrico, Florida; one granddaughter, Annabelle Grace Harrison; her mother, Geneva Smith of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; three sisters, Geneva Sue Purcell of Thayer, Missouri, Martha Martin and husband, Thomas of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Sondra Jones and husband, Charles of Ozark, Missouri; one brother, Therman Smith and wife Melissa of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Claude Orvis Smith; and one infant brother, Claude Orvis Smith, Jr.
Wanda was a homemaker, who enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting. She was especially creative and excelled in making jewelry. She loved growing flowers and watching birds play in her yard, and had a wonderful appreciation for all of God’s creation.
She was a member of the Mammoth Spring Church of Christ and will be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She will truly be missed.
Memorial Services for Ms. Moore will be held Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri, with Shawn Deree officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Paragould Children’s Home and may be left at the Funeral Home in Thayer.

I have so many fond memories of crafting ith Aunt Wanda.. She was a big part of my childhood and I will miss her.
