Russell Ray Willard was born in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Billie Willard and Charlotte Johnson Willard, on November 24, 1958. He departed this life on September 11, 2018, at his home in Thayer, Missouri, at the age of 59 years.
He was united in marriage April, 1997, in Rockford, Illinois to Julie Dancer.
Russ is survived by his wife, Julie Willard, of the home in Thayer; three daughters, Tiffany Lowe of Rockford, Illinois, Jessica Willard of Rockford, Illinois, and Brittany Willard of West Plains, Missouri; three sons, Steven Lowe of St. Louis, Missouri, Tyler Willard of West Plains, Missouri, and Brandon Willard of West Plains, Missouri; two sisters, Sally Johnson and husband, Gary of West Plains, Missouri and Lorrita Fare and husband, Paul of Caulfield, Missouri; two brothers, Walter Willard and wife, Carolyn of Knoxville, Tennessee and Randy Willard of Rockford, Illinois; nine grandchildren; nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billie and Charlotte Willard.
Russ liked to trade all manner of things. He especially enjoyed tinkering with cars, go-carts and mini-bikes. He also was an expert and enjoyed making people smile.
He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will truly be missed by his family and all who knew him.
A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 at noon at the family home at 202 Sherman in Thayer, Missouri followed by a pot-luck lunch.
