Roy Allen “John” Perkins was born in Crawley, WV and passed away on October 27, 2021 at Naples, FL at the age of 87.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Williams Perkins; two sisters, Patricia Rowland and Phyllis Dupre; and four brothers, James Perkins, Joseph Perkins, Robert Perkins and Curtis Perkins. and one nephew, Kep Privett.

He is survived by six children, Edgel Marie Sparks (Ed) of Branson, MI, Sherry Role (Mike) if Roseville, MN, Roy Allen Perkins, Jr.  of Naples, FL, Cassandra Creech of Dayton, OH, William Patrick of Wichita, KS, and Neil Allen Perkins (Nikki) of Virginia; four sisters, Marion Tipton, Louise Puckett, Bibby Robinson and Gladys Tincher; one brother, Bubby Perkins; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; many special nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.

John was a Christian and of the Baptist faith.

He worked for 28 years as a crane operator for Garland & Garland in Naples, FL.  He liked hunting and fishing and enjoyed raising pigs.

He will truly be missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services for Roy Allen “John” Perkins will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri with Erman Croney officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to service time at Carter Funeral Home in Thayer, Missouri.

Burial will be on Saturday, November 6, 2021 in Camp Cemetery in Camp, Arkansas with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.
