   Peggy Joan Rogers, 81 years old, of Myrtle, Missouri departed this earth on November 8th, 2021, at West Plains, Missouri. She was born on June 7th, 1940, in Fagus, Missouri to the parents of Russell Alexander Vincent and Florence (Bagwell) Vincent.  She was united in marriage on February 18th, 1957, in Fagus, Missouri to Billy Joe Rogers and together they enjoyed 64 years and 9 months of matrimony.

   Peggy was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to countless others along life’s pathway. She was lovingly referred to as Grandma by extended family, friends, and the community. Peggy never spoke ill of others and was always there for others in need or during illness and suffering. She was one to always listen and was just a phone call away. In her younger days she canned food and sewed. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Peggy was a gentle, kind, and patient person who loved to garden. She especially liked to watch the hummingbirds that visited her bird feeders.

    Peggy was an avid reader and loved to listen to gospel music She had a beautiful voice but would only sing in the kitchen or the church pew. She was a dedicated homemaker who provided a wholesome and welcoming environment. There was no doubt in anyone’s mind that Peggy’s grandchildren and children were her whole world and heart. She showed the love in her soul with every action of every day towards those she called family and those she came across in her daily life. She was a woman of faith, well-loved and she believed that you never knew when you would attend an angel unaware.

   Peggy is preceded by her parents, daughter, Theresa Lee Hawes, siblings; Kenneth Eugene Vincent, Modine Vincent, Billie Faye Vincent, James Russell Vincent and her faithful fur baby of fourteen years, Sissy Rogers.

   Peggy is survived by her daughter, Sandra Sallings, three grandsons; Mark Andrew Martin Jr (Jessica), Billy Joe Martin and Larry Wayne Bull, two granddaughters; Shana Marie Plant and Miranda Elaine Bull, two great-grandchildren, Kalli Jo Martin and Landon Avery Matin, brother, Jerry Vincent, nieces; Laura Vincent Chandler (Rob), Brenda Carter (Bill), Paula Hall (Bruce), Diane Vincent and fur baby, Ben “ Benji” Rogers, grand-dogs Boomer Martin and Sister Martin, and grand-cat, Mouser Martin.

Graveside services will be on April 26, 2023, 3pm at the Cotton Creek Cemetery of Couch, Missouri with Full Military Honors.  Officiating is Reverend Daryl Mitchell and recorded songs by Billy Joe Rogers to be played will be “I Know a Man” and the “Family Bible”.
