Paul Albinus Roberts was born the son of James Henry Roberts and Lillie Odessa Gage Roberts on May 31, 1918 in Oregon County, Missouri and departed this life March 29, 2011 at his home in Thayer, Missouri at the age of 92 years.
He was united in marriage July 14, 1939 in Alton, Missouri to Inis Blankenship.
He is survived by his wife of seventy-one years, Inis Roberts of the home in Thayer, Missouri; one son, Dennis Roberts and wife, Lisa of Tucson, Arizona; one daughter, Janice Dale and husband, Coy of Thayer, Missouri; five grandchildren, Steve Williams, Kelven Williams, Dennis Roberts, Jr., Debbie Madden and Ricky Smith; four step grandchildren, Kathy, Frankie, Carla and Steven; four great grandchildren, Nickolas, Regan, Clay and Cody; one great-great grandson, Conner; one brother, Lovel Roberts of Couch, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Sarah Roberts of West Plains, Missouri; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Lillie Roberts; three brothers, Floyd, Charlie and Arlie Roberts and four sisters, Goldia Williams, Ollie Thompson, Alma Overstreet and Ada Combs.
Paul worked for the CC Camp for several years, was a local carpenter and especially enjoyed his life as a livestock farmer. Many friends and neighbors shared in the beauty of his maple tree, flowers in his yard and the bounty of his garden.
He was a faithful member of the Norman Free Will Baptist Church for sixty years.
He will be remembered as a devoted and caring husband, father, grandfather, friend and neighbor. He will truly be missed by all.
Funeral services for Paul A. Roberts, age 92, of Thayer, Missouri, will be Friday, April 1, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel at Thayer with Brother Wayne Adrian officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 31st from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Norman Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
