Pat Combs

Patricia “Pat”Ann Combs was born the daughter of Stone Edison Wiggs and Alpha Mae (Rice) Wiggs on January 13, 1948, in Doniphan, Missouri, and departed this life on October 17, 2015, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 67 years.

She was united in marriage March 7, 1970, at Garfield, Missouri, to Wade Lynn Combs.

She is survived by her husband of forty-five years, Wade Combs of the home in Springfield, Missouri; one daughter, Donna G. Crow and husband, Andrew of Springfield; two grandchildren, Anthony M. Cooper and Hope E. Crow, both of Springfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stone and Alpha Wiggs; five sisters, Irene Saar, Lottie Wilson, Mildred Adams, Dorothy Wiggs and Janice Berst.

Pat was a compassionate and caring lady and had been employed as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant for several years.

She was a member of College Street Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri, where she loved teaching children’s Sunday School as long as her health permitted.

Pat enjoyed knitting and reading novels in her spare time.

She will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother, and grandmother. She will truly be missed by her family, church family, and friends.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri, with Brother Garland McGath officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer on Wednesday, October 21st, from 12:00 noon until service time.

Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill/Arytown Cemetery near Thayer, Missouri, with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mrs. Combs’ memory to The American Heart Association, and may be left at Carter Funeral Home in Thayer.

    My sincerest condolences on the death of Pat. I have such fond memories of Aunt Pat.
