Max Blaine Huffman was born February 3, 1945 in Doniphan, Missouri, the son of Robert Huffman and Helen Cline Huffman, and departed this life at his home in Myrtle, Missouri on May 30, 2021 at the age of 76.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Helen Huffman; two brothers, Don Robertson and Steve Huffman; and one sister, Gail Huffman.

Max is survived by his wife, Delores Huffman of the home in Myrtle, Missouri; four children, Yvette Huffman of Lake Villa, Illinois, Sarah and Steve Evans of Branson, Missouri, Jerry and Noreen Bowman of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Pat Bowman of Houma, Louisiana; five grandchildren, Daniele, Cody, Sage, Mia and Dani; two sisters, Dorothy and Ray York of northern Missouri and Kathy and Britt Robertson of Doniphan, Missouri; five brothers, Bill and Rose Robertson of Newport, Virginia, Bob Huffman of Colorado, Denver Huffman of northern Missouri, Roy and Carol Huffman of northern Missouri, and John Huffman of northern Missouri; other relatives; and many friends.

He was an over the road truck driver for 26 years and worked as a crane operator on off-shore oil rigs. 

Max was a Christian and of the Baptist faith.

He loved music, especially old-time gospel and bluegrass.  He sang and played mandolin and bass in the Eleven Point River Band.  He lived his life to the fullest.

Max loved his family most of all.  He enjoyed all the time he spent with them.

He will truly be missed by his family and friends.

Memorial services for Max B. Huffman will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Byrd Free Will Baptist Church in Myrtle, Missouri with Brother Richard Todd officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.
