Funeral services for Mary Evelyn Hill Montgomery, 64, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 28, 2011, at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, with Dr. Andy Hill, Reverand Ronny Wheeler, Reverend Larry Hill, and Chaplain Van Williams officiating under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
She was born the daughter of the late Joseph Hill and Maggie Mae Hales Hill, on November 4, 1947 in Harrisburg, Arkansas and died November 23, 2011 in West Plains.
She was united in marriage November 6, 1965 in Koshkonong, Missouri to Clifford Montgomery.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford Montgomery, of the home, West Plains, Missouri; three children, Todd Montgomery, wife, JoAnna, Willard, Missouri, Karen Williams, West Plains, Missouri, and Trent Montgomery, West Plains, Missouri; three brothers, Bobby J. Hill, wife, Nancy, Ironton, Missouri, Reverend Larry Hill, wife, Brenda, Flemingsburg, Kentucky, and Dr. Andy Hill, wife, Trudy, Toledo, Ohio; five grandchildren, Tyler, Shanna, Spencer, Skylar, and Holly, all of whom she dearly loved; several nieces and nephews; her dear friends, Joan Billingsley and family, Odessa and Emmett Wheeler, Larry and Gena Martin, her prayer partners, Reverend Ronny and Mary Beth Wheeler, and Reverend and Mrs. Jessie Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Reverend Billy Hill and Joseph Russell Hill; five sisters, Ida Mae Corter, Minnie Scholer, Ellen Passmore, Myrtle Marie James, and Betty Mask.
She worked several years in sales in the West Plains area, selling mobile homes and for Bob Hanna, selling pallet and saw mill quipment. She was of the Assembly of God faith.
Family visitation will be held Sunday, November 27, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.
Burial will be in Homeland Cemetery, Howell County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
