Howard Mac Hubbard was born the son of Major Hubbard and Marie (Bell) Hubbard on August 20, 1938, in Sidney, Arkansas, and died August 3, 2016, in West Plains, Missouri, at the age of 77 years.

He was united in marriage, to the love of his life, Judy Miller, on June 7, 1971, at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Hubbard of the home near Thayer, Missouri; one sister, Jo Robinson of Ozark, Missouri; his brother-in-law, Herbert Gaines of Thayer, Missouri; special niece, Peggy Stanley and husband, Mike; four nephews, Terry, Lindal, Paul and Keith Gaines; several other nieces and nephews; several great nieces and great nephews; two sisters-in-law, Gladys Shipley and JoAnn Click and husband, Sam; one brother-in-law, Danny Miller and his wife, Theresa; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Major and Marie Hubbard; one sister, Eva Gaines; his brother-in-law, Bob Robinson; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Robert and Ruth Miller; two brothers-in-law, Elbert Shipley and Ed Good and wife, Roberta.

He was a member of Koshkonong Free Will Baptist Church. He was a faithful servant for the Lord and was a great prayer warrior.

Mac was a cattle farmer and along with his wife, Judy, owned and operated Miller Fabric Center in Thayer for several years. He was deeply devoted to his family and will truly be missed by all.

Funeral Services for Mac Hubbard, age 77, of Thayer, Missouri, was held Saturday, August 6, 2016, at 10:00 AM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri with Brother Johnny Holesapple officiating. Burial in the Thayer Cemetery, with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home in Thayer.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon International.

    Judy, so very sorry for your loss. I have so many fond memories of Mac. He always had a big smile for me and a story to tell me when I was a little girl and pestered him at the fabric store on a daily basis. He left me with lots of great memories.     Judy, I am so sorry to hear about Mac. Kim and I send our love to you. Mac was one of a kind and there will never be another like him. I will be praying for you.
