Dora Lucille (Combs) Jackson was born the daughter of Oba N. Combs and Ozella (Benson) Combs on February 4, 1928 in Oregon County, Missouri, and departed this life May 2, 2013 in West Plains, Missouri, at the age of 85 years.
She was united in marriage on October 11, 1946 in Salem, Arkansas, to Ralph King Jackson, who preceded her in death on July 29, 2007.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Turner of Hideaway, Texas; one son, Stephen Jackson and wife, Susan of Thayer, Missouri; four granddaughters, Sarah, Kyla, Ashlee, and Savannah; four step grandsons, Michael, Matthew, Mark, and Marty; nine step great grandsons; one step great granddaughter; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oba and Ozella Combs; her husband, Ralph Jackson; her son-in-law, Ewell Turner; and her sister, Vera Braden.
Lucille was a homemaker. She worked several years for Dr. A.T. Walker in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, and also for Spring River Burial Association.
She was of the Protestant faith and enjoyed reading, gardening, and caring for her family and her home. She will be remembered as a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother and will truly be missed by all.
A Graveside Service for Mrs. Jackson will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Thayer Cemetery in Thayer, Missouri.
