Linda Lawson

Linda Kay Lawson was born the daughter of N. W. Lawson and Ellen (Faust) Lawson on February 7, 1942, at Jonesboro, Arkansas, and departed this life May 30, 2013, in Rochester, Minnesota at the age of 71 years.

She is survived by one brother, Robert W. Lawson and wife, Viletta of Maryville, Tennessee; one sister, Naomi Johnson and husband, Mackie of Thayer, Missouri; one niece; three nephews; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, N.W. and Ellen Lawson.

Linda worked for the United States government for more than thirty years as a Case Officer for the C.I.A. During those years, she was stationed at various places, all around the world. She was a person of strong conviction, and active in addressing social and political issues.

She enjoyed genealogy research and compiling family history. She was an avid flower gardener and loved cats as well as other animals.

She will be truly missed by her family and many friends.

Graveside services for Ms. Lawson will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Thayer Cemetery in Thayer Missouri.

    Linda. Thank you for being my friend for over 60 yrs. I will miss your smile and your strong
    arguments about politics. You will be really missed by our class of 1960 and family and a
    gazillion friends. You’ve earned a rest, so enjoy it well. Until we meet again, on that day, on
