Larry Wayne Bible was born the son of Ralph L. Bible and Carrie Belle Stroup Bible on April 4, 1943 in Springfield, Missouri and departed this life April 6, 2012 at his home in Thayer, Missouri at the age of 69 years.
Larry was united in marriage on October 6, 1964 to Marilyn Kay Whiteside.
He is survived by his wife, Kay of the home in Thayer, Missouri; one daughter, Billie Rae Barnes and husband, Jamie of O’Fallon, Missouri; one grandson, Alex James Barnes of O’Fallon, Missouri; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Daisy Whiteside of Thayer, Missouri; three sisters-in-law, Donna Fink and husband, Doyle of Thayer, Missouri, Terri Hull and husband, Dan of Thayer, Missouri and Sharon Bible of Eugene, Missouri; one nephew, Michael Fink and wife, Jamie of Forney, Texas; four nieces, Cindi Fink of Thayer, Missouri, Cynthia, Diana and Sandra of Eugene, Missouri; two great nephews, Josh and Nick Fink of Forney, Texas; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Carrie Bible and one brother, Harold Lee Bible.
Larry was a Conductor for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad, retiring after thirty years of service. He served as local chairman for the UTU for four years.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will truly be missed by his family and many friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Bible will be held Monday, April 9, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri. The body will lie in state until the time of service. Burial will be in the Thayer Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
