Memorial services for Kenneth (Ken) Paul Lientz, 72, will be held at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, May 10th at the Davis Creek Community Church Howell County, Missouri.

He was born the son of the late Marion Eugene Lientz and Eva Allen Lientz, on August 12, 1941 in Danville, Illinois and died April 29, 2014 in West Plains, Missouri.

He was united in marriage May 26, 1962 in Stone Bluff, Indiana to Barbara Chezem.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Chezem Lientz, of the home, West Plains; three children, Brian Wesley Lientz and wife, Karey, Republic, Missouri, Andrew David Lientz and wife, Melinda, Plant City, Florida, and Kendra Jo Cockrum, state of Texas; one brother, David Allen Lientz and wife, Diane, Springfield, Illinois; three grandchildren, Shelise Lientz, Tampa, Florida, Deshia Cockrum, West Plains, Missouri, and Chelsee Davis, West Plains, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Martin Eugene “Bud” Lientz.

He was employed with Amyx Manufacturing Company for twenty-five years. He was a pastor for several churches in different areas, but was currently pastor for Davis Creek Community Church in Howell County, Missouri. He and his wife traveled many miles throughout the United States on their Honda Gold Wing motorcycle. He also sang for several years with the Traveler’s Gospel Quartet while living in Texas. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy football fan. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family would like to express special thanks and appreciation to the staff of Ozark Medical Center and West Vue Nursing Facility for the compassionate, professional expert care Ken received during his stay.

Local arrangements were under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
