Kenneth Glen Lewallen was born the son of Elmer Glen Lewallen and Iva Mardell (Hackworth) Lewallen on April 11, 1949 at Galion, Ohio and departed this life October 12, 2013 at his home in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 64 years.
He is survived by one uncle, Junior Hackworth of West Plains, Missouri; one aunt, Betty Lewallen of Youngstown, Arizona; numerous cousins; special friend and co-worker, Jerry Snyder of Galion, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Mardell Lewallen.
Kenneth was a decorated veteran, serving in the United States Army in the Vietnam war. He received numerous awards and medals including two bronze stars.
He was a Senior Engineer for AT&T in Columbus, Ohio retiring after many years of service. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, riding motorcycles, camping, and trout fishing in Spring River.
He will truly be missed by his family and friends.
Graveside services for Mr. Lewallen will be held Monday, October 14, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Thayer, Missouri.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home in Thayer on Monday, October 14th from 12:00 until 1:00 PM.
Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Thayer.
