Kennard “Dale” Welch was born in Ash Flat, Arkansas on October 13, 1940 to Scott and Hazel Evans Welch and passed from this earth on December 13, 2020 at the Shady Oaks Healthcare Center.

Dale was married to the love of his life, Patricia Ann Turner of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas on July 22, 1961.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dale is survived by his wife, Pat, of the home at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; his two sons, Cary Welch and his wife, Kimmy of Marshfield, Missouri and Brad and his wife, Robyn of Fayetteville, Arkansas; his three grandchildren, Joseph, Melanie, and Anthony; one brother, Wayburn Welch of Highland, Arkansas; and one sister, Betty Garwood of Melbourne, Arkansas; other relatives; and many friends.

He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ, for over 25 years at Sparta, Missouri, and for the last five years of his life at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.

Dale worked for over 25 years in the field of bridge and road construction in both the states of Arkansas and Missouri.  He was a skilled craftsman whose works can still be traversed from Mena, Arkansas to Canton, Missouri.  Dale’s expertise spanned outside of his profession and was an integral part of his life and a great source of joy as a woodworker and hobby carpenter.  Many of his creations can be found proudly displayed throughout his family and friends’ homes and are testaments to his zest for artistic perfection.
