Jesse Wesley McKinney was born the son of Jesse James McKinney and Hazel (McCall) McKinney on June 12, 1950 in Dallas, Texas, and departed this life July 27, 2013 in West Plains, Missouri at the age of 63 years.

He is survived by his three daughters, Debbie Marie McKinney of Machesney Park, Illinois, Katie Skujina and husband, J.P. of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Amanda Jayne McKinney of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Mark McKinney, Aurora McKinney, and Peteris Skujins; four brothers, Gary McKinney, Dearl McKinney, Luke McKinney and wife, Donna, and Brad Cook; four sisters, Shonnie French, Renea Frey and husband, Len, Sondra Cook, and Rhonda Cook; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim McKinney and Hazel McCall; and one brother-in-law, Mark Q. Spencer.

Jesse was an electrician and a long-time member of I.B.E.W. 890 of Janesville, Wisconsin. As a young man, he served in the United States Navy and later, served the community of Rockton, Illinois as a Volunteer Firefighter. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and enjoyed helping people who needed a hand. He would do anything for his family and friends.

He will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather, a wonderful brother, a great uncle, and a loyal friend. Jesse will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Graveside services for Mr. McKinney will be Saturday, August 3, 2013, at 10:00 AM in the Taylor Cemetery near Wirth, Arkansas with Brother John Miles officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri on Friday evening, August 2nd, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.

Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer
