Jeneta Joan (Bennett) Turner, 68, of Thayer, MO, was born to Rufford Gordon Bennett and Bessie Lorine (Mitchell) Bennett in Pocahontas, AR on February 18, 1955, and departed this earth to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on February 16, 2024 at her home.

She was married on May 22, 1982, in Garfield, MO to Perry Turner. This union was blessed with two children and three grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Perry of the home in Thayer, MO; children, Rachel Leanne Albritton and husband James of Thayer, MO; Jeremy Brian Turner and wife Capri of Thayer, MO; grandchildren, Colton and Rayna Albritton; Hudson Turner, siblings, Glenda Upton of St. Charles, MO; Kendell Bennett and wife Sharon of Pocahontas, AR; B. W. Bennett and wife Jewell of Pocahontas, AR; Neal Bennett of Blytheville, AR; Virginia White of St. Peters, MO; Clifton Bennett and wife Janet of Couch, MO; Dean Bennett and wife Remona of Myrtle, MO; sister-in-law Betty Bennett of Fredrick, MD; brother-in-law Bobby Ritchey of Pocahontas, AR., and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Russell Bennett; sister Bessie Ritchey; sister-in-law LaRue Bennett; brothers-in-law William Darrell Upton and Douglas White.

After graduating ASU Jonesboro, AR she went to work for the Bank of Thayer for 37 years. Before retiring she worked at the Thayer Housing Authority.

Her greatest pleasure was her grandchildren. She loved when they came to visit, taking them to the park and going to birthday parties and school functions.

Her hobbies of photography, painting and crafting gave her and others great joy.

Jeneta was a faithful member of the Thayer Free Will Baptist Church.

 Howell Family will be singing the songs during the service. 

 

A Funeral Service will be on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel of Thayer, Missouri. 

A Visitation will be  on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel of Thayer, Missouri. 

Interment will be on Thursday, February  22, 2024, at the Riverside Cemetery of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.

    I am so sorry to receive this news. Jeneta was always a very dear and precious friend/sister-in-law. She was always gracious to open her home and made me feel very welcome. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time.

    I so enjoyed working with Jeneta at Bank of Thayer for many years. She was a quite, sincere, intelligent, and very talented woman. She will be missed. My continued prayers for her family.

    Jeneta was my mentor at the bank and her guidance was of tremendous value. I have such respect for her in every aspect of her life. This community will greatly feel the loss of her presence.
