James “Jim” Donald Meredith, beloved brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on May 8, 2024, in his hometown of Thayer, Missouri at 88 years of age. He was born on November 15, 1935, in Thayer, to his parents Mancil and Mary Jasper Meredith.
Jim was a man with a heart of gold, always going above and beyond for his family and friends. He had a passion for playing pool and was well known for his skills in the game. When he wasn’t playing pool, James enjoyed collecting antiques and guns, finding joy in buying and selling unique pieces. He especially loved spending time in Arizona and eagerly looked forward to swap meets with his friends.
Jim will be remembered for his deep love for his family, his dedication to his hobbies, and his warm-hearted nature. He is survived by his brother John and wife Cindy Meredith of Thayer, as well as six nieces and nephews, and nineteen great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mancil “Buck” Meredith and Mary Meredith, his sister Judy Ann Meredith, and brother Allen Wayne Meredith.
James “Jim” Donald Meredith will be dearly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever be cherished, and the impact he had on the lives of those around him will never be forgotten.
Graveside Services will be Monday, April 13, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Thayer Cemetery of Thayer, Missouri.
