Inis Pauline Roberts, age 97, of Thayer, Missouri departed this life on November 23, 2020.  She was born December 4, 1922 to Jesse and Ora Val (Cartee) Blankenship in Couch, Missouri.

She was married to the love of her life, Paul A. Roberts, on July 14, 1939.  They had 71 years of happy married life together.  To this union, they had two children, Dennis and Janice.

Inis is survived by her son, Dennis (Lisa) Roberts of Tucson, Arizona; her daughter, Janice (Coy) Dale of Thayer, Missouri; six grandchildren, Kelven Williams (Sherree) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Steve Williams of Thayer, Missouri, Dennis Roberts, Jr. (Jennifer) of Tucson, Arizona, Debbie Montgomery of Georgia, Ricky Smith of West Plains, Missouri and Steve Roberts of Hutchinson, Kansas; six great grandchildren, Nick, Reagan, Madeleine, Sylvia, Clay and Cody; 1 great great grandchild, Conner; other relatives,; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Ora Blankenship; her husband, Paul A. Roberts; her brother, Theodore Blankenship; and her sister, Altha Roy.

Inis attended Norman Freewill Baptist Church since she was a child and accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at a young age.  She loved her church family.

She worked at Puritan Sewing Factory in Thayer, Missouri and retired after 32 years.

Inis  enjoyed reading and liked having visitors.  She especially loved her husband, children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

She will truly be missed by her family and the community in which she lived.

Graveside services for Inis Pauline Roberts will be held on Monday, November 30, 2020 in Norman Cemetery in Alton, Missouri with Wayne Adrian officiating.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 29, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  at Carter Funeral Home in Thayer, Missouri.

Burial will on Monday, November 30, 2020 in Norman Cemetery in Thayer, Missouri with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.

    Janice and Denis my mother Rita Doris Roberts always loved her Aunt Inis deeply.
    We always had a good visit with her. Her knowledge of family history will be greatly missed. Prayers for all your family. Won’t be attending the funeral. But you have my deepest sympathy.
