Henry Dale Clark, 77 years of age, of Sparta, Missouri passed from this life on October 16, 2016, at 5:00 AM at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.
Henry was born May 17, 1939, in Myrtle, Missouri, the ninth child of Georgie B. and Minnie Lucinda ( Williams) Clark. Henry attended Couch School, and Byrd Church. Henry was employed by General Motors Corporation, in Kansas City, Missouri for 24 years. He retired in 1994, relocating in Sparta, Missouri.
Henry was a devoted father, and a loving and kind son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and neighbor. He invited Christ into his heart, was baptized at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Springfield, Missouri, and lived his life for the Lord. His last words were, “I love the Lord”.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Gena Clark; sisters, Norma Clark Dye, Nona Clark Stephens and husband, Michael Stephens; and 56 beloved nieces and nephews. His nieces, Barbara Williams and Debra Williams, were faithful to their Uncle Henry to the end. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, his brother George Clark; and five sisters, Lucille Clark Jackson, Lois Clark Kellett, Nita Clark Williams, Audrey Clark Barr, and Charlene Clark Brewer.
Graveside services will be held at Byrd Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, Myrtle, Missouri, at 3:30 PM on October 17, 2016, and conducted by Henry’s cousin, Boyd Clark of Thayer, Missouri. Services will be under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
