Harvey Don Harrell was born the son of Frank Harrell and Ardith (Waits) Harrell on December 28,1946, in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, and departed this life October 1, 2015 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at the age of 68 years.
He was united in marriage in 1985, at West Plains, Missouri, to Pearlene “P.J.” Qualls.
He is survived by his wife, P.J. Harrell of the home in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; one son, Matthew Harrell and wife, Sophie of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one daughter, Maggie Walters and husband, Dustin of Thayer, Missouri; two granddaughters, Briley and Bristal Walters, of Thayer; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ardith Harrell.
Mr. Harrell was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He was an over the road truck driver, driving for a good friend, Matt Strafford and Company, LLC out of Iowa. He enjoyed fishing, and in his spare time, he could be found on the river, lake or even fishing in a well stocked fish pond.
He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He will be remembered as deeply devoted to his family and will truly be missed by all.
Visitation for Mr. Harrell will be Sunday, October 4, 2015 from 7-9 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri.

I am sorry for your loss. My twin brother (Darrell) and I graduated with Harvey in Rock Falls, Il. in 1965. May you find comfort in your memories.

Although we lost track of Harvey some years ago, he still has remained in our thoughts and memories. We celebrated our 50th Class Reunion this past August… Harvey would have had lots of fun with the guys. Please accept our deepest condolences for the loss of your husband, father, and grandfather. His name will be placed in our book of memories.
