Gary Reavis, 54, son of the late Leonard Reavis and Anita (Bennett) Reavis, was born June 15, 1969 in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away January 15, 2024 in Springfield, Missouri.
Gary loved spending time with family and friends. He lived life to the fullest; jeeping with his wife, vacationing with his children and camping with his best friends. His world revolved around his granddaughters; going to their every ball game, race, and concert. Gary was known for his “need for speed”; cruising the sand dunes, riding trails at Cloud 9, and climbing Colorado mountains in his side by side. He also loved to help his community and neighbors by volunteering on the Peace Valley White Church Fire Department for thirty-six years. Anytime someone needed a helping hand Gary was there. And of course, he loved the hard work on his farm.
He is survived by his wife, Amy; son Tyler Reavis and wife Taylor, son Austin Reavis and wife Kylie; granddaughters, Leighton and Landry Reavis; Aunt Doris Sharp; sister-in-law Tina Clinton and husband Eric; nieces, Whitney, Maci, and Charli; brother-in-law, Jonathan Schulz (Sunny); nephew, Ethan; special friends, Shane and Terri Braynard, Audie, Chance, and Brooks Davis, and many cousins and friends
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Anita Reavis; brother, Kent Reavis; mother and father-in-law, Sherry and John Schulz, and nephew Zach Clinton.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, Howell County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains, Missouri.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, Missouri, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m.

Amy, I am so sorry for your loss. I know how close you and Gary were and I was shocked to see he has passed. You are truly a great friend to me and my heart hurts with you and your family. I was shocked to hear this ,Gary was a good man he was always willing to help weather he knew you are not he would help in any way he could.. while there is nothing that can be said to take away the hurt and loss, The word says he is with the father in heaven I pray that the father would give you his comfort and guide you and your family thru this dark time Amen

Amy and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I had not seen Gary since our 20 year class reunion, some time ago. I always enjoyed being around Gary in high school. Amy Daniel and my hearts were so saddened to hear the news of Gary’s passing. Gary was a good man who always greeted everyone with a big smile. He was an important and needed member in our community. Gary gave selflessly of himself by volunteering to be a member of the volunteer PVWC fire department for his neighbors, friends and those he did not know. And yes he was our neighbor and friend and one who will be dearly missed. Amy , Tyler, Austin and family know you are in our hearts and in our prayers for peace and comfort for today and and the days to come and if you need anything please know you have only to call .
