Funeral services for Fred McClellan, 81, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, with Reverend Marcus Allen officiating, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.

He was born the son of the late Charles McClellan and Gertie Eubank McClellan, on June 6, 1933 in Pomona, Missouri and died November 22, 2014 in West Plains, Missouri.

He was united in marriage October 25, 1953 in Willow Springs, Missouri to Dolores McBroom.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores McBroom McClellan, of the home, West Plains, Missouri; two daughters, Anita Shaw and husband, Lewis, Hastings, Michigan and Janice Jacobson and husband, Melvin, Centralia, Missouri; one brother, Ralph McClellan, Grand Prairie, Texas and one sister, Fern Avis, Pomona, Missouri; six grandchildren, Jeff (Laura) Jacobson, St. Louis, Missouri, David (Kelly) Jacobson, Nixa, Missouri, Charissa (Gary) Dean, Portage, Michigan, Benjamin (Susan) Shaw, Alexandria, Virginia, Jennifer Shaw, Quincy, Illinois, and Jessica (Jerard) Jamena, Nashville, Tennessee, and ten great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lena McClellan, and three brothers, Lee, Orville, and Earl McClellan.

He was a member of the Pomona Christian Church, Pomona, Missouri. He worked the family farm in Pomona for forty-nine years. He also drove cattle trucks for L.T. Kessinger and Earl Jackson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pomona Christian Church, Pomona, Missouri, and can be left at the funeral home.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.

    Aunt Dolores, Anita and Janice , I was so sorry to hear about Uncle Fred. I wish I could be there to give you my support. You are all in my prayers. Love Donna
