Eva Thompson was born the daughter of John and Ada (Wickins) Macklay on November 9, 1924 in Koshkonong, Missouri and departed this life April 17, 2013 in West Plains, Missouri at the age of 88 years.
She was united in marriage on February 14, 1948 in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas to William Thompson.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, William Thompson of the home in West Plains, Missouri; one sister, Edna Armstrong of St. Louis, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ada Macklay; one brother, Seb Macklay and three sisters, Iva Stuart, Ruth Hunsperger and Opal Young.
Eva was secretary of the Labor Union that represented the Gates Rubber Company in Denver, Colorado for many years. She was an animal lover, especially her family pets and enjoyed working in her flower garden and decorating her home for all holidays.
Eva will be remembered as a devoted companion, loving aunt and wonderful friend. She will truly be missed by all that knew her.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Thompson will be Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri. Burial will be in the Thayer Cemetery.
