Eula Mae England was born the daughter of Rodney Anderson and Rosie (Wise) Anderson on June 24, 1920, in Hardy, Arkansas, and departed this life March 18, 2014, in Salem, Arkansas, at the age of 93 years.

She was united in marriage at Hardy, Arkansas in 1942 to Ira Taylor England, who preceded her in death on February 17, 1990. To this union one daughter was born, Norma Jean England.

She is survived by her daughter, Norma Jean England-Costner of Atlanta, Georgia; two grandsons, Randall Costner and Jason Costner, both of Atlanta, Georgia; one sister, Beulah England of Hardy, Arkansas; three nieces, Wilma Stockton, Jana Allen, and Andrea Anderson; three nephews, James Rodney Anderson, Joe Anderson, and John Anderson; several grand nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law and the nieces and nephews of the England family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rodney and Rosie Anderson; her husband, Ira England; one brother, Rodney E. Anderson and one niece, Tammy Danahay.

Eula worked as a nurse in the 1940’s and as an office clerk at Cherokee Village in the 1950’s.

She was interested in poetry and inspirational prose and had acquired an impressive collection of publications.

Eula was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Baptist Church in Hardy, Arkansas.

She loved her family and treasured her friendships. She will truly be missed by all.

Graveside Services will be Friday, March 21, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Bronaugh Cemetery near Hardy, Arkansas with Brother Floyd Rikard officating.

The family will receive friends at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer on Thursday, March 20th from 6:00 until 7:30 PM.

Burial will be in the Bronaugh Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
