Funeral services for Edward Dean Coldiron, 75, Bakersfield, Missouri, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.

He was born the son of the late Edward J. Coldiron and Lona M. Peterson Coldiron, on January 31, 1941 in Lanton, Missouri and died January 10, 2017 at his home in Bakersfield, Missouri.
He was united in marriage September 8, 1962 in Wichita, Kansas to Patricia Zimmerman.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Zimmerman Coldiron, of the home, Bakersfield, Missouri; four children, Michael Coldiron, Wichita, Kansas; Brenda Dixon, Wichita, Kansas; Edward Coldrion, Jr. and wife Michelle, Mulvane, Kansas, and Sharon Kelley, Bakersfield, Missouri; three brothers, Roy Coldiron and wife Fern, Gainesville, Missouri; Jim Coldrion and wife, Ramona, Wichita, Kansas, and Larry Coldiron and wife Diana, Wichita, Kansas; one sister, Pat Dixon and husband, George, West Plains, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Matthew and Justin Wilson, Megan Wilson Menhusen, Kayla Dixon, Jessica Patterson, Joshua Coldiron, Martina Salas and Isabella Coldiron, and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Gene Coldiron, and one grandson, Jared Wilson.

He loved to hunt and fish; enjoyed working on cars; spending time with his family, and had a life long love of travel. He and his family have traveled to forty-six states, and had high hopes to possibly make the other four.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.

Bural will be in State Line Cemetery, Fulton County, Arkansas, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
