“Dude” Mabel Feid was born the daughter of Rufus Hathaway and Sarah Kelly Hathaway on March 5, 1919 in Mound City, Kansas and departed this life March 13, 2012 in Salem, Arkansas at the age of 93 years.
Dude is survived by three children, Leroy “Flip” Klein of Thayer, Missouri, Sheranne McGill and husband, Edward of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Kerry Krieg Kelly and fianceยข , Beryl Wrinkle of Thayer, Missouri; eight grandchildren and their families: Charl Klein; Lee Klein, his wife, Sharon and daughter, Savannah; Nick McGill, his wife Whitney and children, Ian, Meadow, Tori and Bryce; Celese Eldridge, her husband, Josh and daughter, Aiden; Rachel Andres, her husband, Tyler and son, Zavier; Derek Krieg; Christian Wrinkle; and Sarah Wrinkle and son, Micah; one sister, Ruby Marley of Koshkonong, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Hazel Hathaway; nephew, Melvin Giles and wife, Marge; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Sarah Hathaway; two brothers, Charles and Clarence Hathaway and two sisters, Mildred Mitchell and Ethel Hathaway.
Our new generations will not know “Dude” physically, however, her dreams and wonderful stories of Love that we grew up with, will be told forever.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel at Thayer with Brother Richard Robinson officiating. Burial will be in the Thayer Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
