Funeral Services for Don Lair, 95, West Plains, Missouri, will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, Missouri

He was born the son of the late James Clarence Lair and Della Margaret Burgess Lair, on March 14, 1926 in Moody, Missouri and died March 20, 2021 in West Plains, Missouri.

He was united in marriage December 24, 1947 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Rosa Lee Morris, who preceded him in death May 21, 2000.

He is survived by one son, Don Lair, West Plains, Missouri; three grandchildren, Janet, Barbara, husband Shawn, and Gina; six great grandchildren, Ashton, Devon, Audrey, Dane, Elizabeth, and Nicholas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosa Lee Lair; two brothers, James Noel and Victor, and four sisters, Opal, Nerine, Hazel, and Doris.

He had attended the West 160 Church of Christ in West Plains, Missouri. He loved to bowl and play billards.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home, West Plains, Missouri.

Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.

    Don, girls, and families, we are so sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. My dad knew him well and spoke of him many times; Dad would be 97 if he were still living, so they go back many years. God bless and comfort you.

    Daddy doesn’t use the internet much, but I will be sure to read all of these to him. Grandpa was a genuinely good man. We were all lucky to have him in our lives. His memory will live on forever. Thank you for all your comments. They are much appreciated.

        I played pool with Don for several years , He was a great friend, He may have told you I wanted to sponser him on the Honor flight to DC, he said he might go , but latter decided not to go. He was a great friend

    To Don’s family,

    We were close neighbors of Clarence and Della and we went to the Prairie Grove church with them. They were some of the best folks I ever knew.
    I knew Marilyn, Howard, Harold, Carol, Glenda & Brenda who were close to my age. I remember seeing Kenny, Donnie, Debby and Vicky when they
    were small.
