Dennis “Denny” Lee Earls was born the son of Leo Glenn Earls and Iva (Armstrong) Earls on March 14, 1952 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and departed this life April 5, 2013 at his home near Mammoth Spring, Arkansas at the age of 61 years.

He was united in marriage on April 20, 1984 in Thayer, Missouri to Peggy Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Earls of the home; two daughters, Marcie Ammons and husband, Bryan of Houston, Missouri, and Megan Earls and fiancé, Josh Roberts of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Blake and Halee Ammons of Houston, Missouri; one brother, Davie Earls of Thayer, Missouri; three nephews, Marlon Earls and wife, Marsha, Marty Earls and wife, Jeanie, and Kevin Ollar and wife, Brandy, all of Thayer, Missouri; three nieces, Kristen Collins and husband, Ivy of Republic, Missouri, and Stacie Huffman and husband, Marlon of Koshkonong, Missouri, and Jessica Campbell and husband, Le Johnson of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; special great nephew, Braden “Bradon Sapp” Campbell; three sisters-in-law, Kathy Ollar and husband, Keith, Paula Hatfield and husband, Jake and Diane Sharp and husband, Jerry; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Iva Earls; one sister, Carolyn Earls and one sister-in-law, Joye Earls.

Denny was a logger and a farmer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family; especially the grandbabies.

He was a member of the Church of God in Thayer. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, a wonderful Daddy and Papa, a great uncle, and a loyal friend. Denny will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 8, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri with Reverend Sam Simmonds officiating.

Burial will be in the Thayer Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.

    I am so sorry to hear,I watched Denny grow up in Shelbytown,and I have lots of fun memories of him with my brother Therman.I know he will be missed,God bless his family.
