Roy Curtis Buehler was born the son of Charles Buehler and Laura Holman Buehler on May 3, 1931 in Thayer, Missouri and departed this life August 17, 2012 in Thayer, Missouri at the age of 81 years.He was united in marriage February 20, 1953 in Salem, Arkansas to Norma Lea White who preceded him in death April 8, 2002.
He is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Ann Buehler of Alton, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Laura Buehler and his wife, Norma Buehler.
Mr. Buehler was a Veteran of the United States Army, proudly serving his country during the Korean Conflict. He earned the rank of Corporal and received numerous awards and medals for services rendered.
Mr. Buehler was a member of Clifton Free Will Baptist Church and served as Deacon for many years. He was also an active member of the Gideons International. Curt will be remembered as a prominent dairy farmer in this area. He was deeply devoted to his family and friends and will truly be missed by all.
Funeral services will be Sunday, August 19, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel at Thayer with Brother James Ray officiating. Burial will be in the Thayer Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Gideons International and left at the funeral home.
