Carol graduated with the Clay Center High School with the class of 1957 in Clay Center, Kansas.

Carol was united in marriage to Martin Phillip Young on December 22, 1956. They were blessed with fifty-five years together upon his passing. They enjoyed traveling, camping, gardening, cooking, and entertaining guests in their home together, and spending time with their family and church family. They attended Trinity Baptist in Willow Springs, Missouri. Later she attended First Baptist Church in Willow Springs, Missouri and made her final home church at OCT in West Plains, Missouri.
Carol was an active member of WMU Club and the Mountain View Bible Study Club. Also a faithful member of the Janome Gems Sewing Club that she attended daily until her passing. Carol’s chosen career was a loan officer/manager for Kings County Credit Union in Lemoore and Hanford, California for over thirty years. She truly enjoyed helping and aiding the public in their financial needs.

Carol was a woman of many words and brought a lot of spice and sass. A wonderful teacher of life. She was a very proud mother and grandmother of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Bork, her mother, Doris Bork, and her husband, Martin Young.

Carol is survived by her two children, daughter, Deborah Harrower and husband Robert of Willow Springs, Missouri; son, Scott Young and wife Janet of Lemoore, California; adopted daughter/ granddaughter, Jessica Young-Russell of West Plains, Missouri; sister, Sharon Beaudry of Lake Shastina, California; brother, Ron Bork and wife Debbie of Vancouver, Washington; grandson Michael Hardman of Popular Bluff, Missouri; granddaughter, Ashley Clabeaux and husband Glenn of Lemoore, California; great grandchildren, Martin Dixson, Titus Russell and Lydia Clabeaux, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her greatly.

If Carol were still here today you would hear her say, “Look at those pretty pay-onies (peonies) and “Love you Gobbies”.

“Thank you for everything you’ve taught us, but most of all, the unconditional love you gave us. We’ll be lost without you, but found in Christ”.

I am the resurrection and I am life eternal. Anyone who clings to me in faith even though he dies, will live forever. And the one who lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this? John 11: 25-26.
