Graveside services for Basil Collins, 81, West Plains, Missouri, will be heldSaturday, December 31, 2016 at 1:00 p.m., at Siloam Springs Cemetery withLloyd Collins officiating, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
He was born the son of the late Burley Collins and Lela Gladys Hicks Collins, on October 1, 1935 in Siloam Springs, Missouri and died December 27, 2016 at his home in West Plains, Missouri.
He was united in marriage October 13, 1956 in West Plains, Missouri to Patricia Morrison.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Morrison Collins, of the home, West Plains, Missouri; three children, Anita Rhoads and husband Jerry, West Plains, Missouri; Benita Parker and husband Johnny, Diggins, Missouri, and Vonda Almond and husband Dennis, Vancouver, Washington; one daughter-in-law, Delissa Collins Sanders, Cabool, Missouri; one sister, Wanda Hill, Pomona, Missouri; eight grandchildren, and fourteen great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and five sisters.
He had attended the Pomona Assembly of God Church in Pomona, Missouri.
Burial will be in Siloam Springs Cemetery, Howell County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
