Boog Bamber

Anthony R. “Boog” Bamber, Jr. was born the son of Anthony Bamber, Sr. and Betty Sue (Crass) Bamber on November 16, 1954, in Thayer, Missouri, and departed this life on July 11, 2014, at his home in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, at the age of 59 years.

He is survived by one daughter, Melissa Sue Ellis and husband, Patrick Mason Ellis of Hardy, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Alexis Briana, Jagger Neil, and Maci Leigh Ann Ellis, all of Hardy, Arkansas; his mother, Betty Bamber of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; one brother, Roger Bamber and wife, Deborah of West Plains, Missouri; one sister, Charlotte Chouinard and husband, David of North Ridgeville, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Bamber, Sr.

Boog was a truck driver and diesel mechanic. He was a skilled knife maker, creating a variety of hunting and skinning knives. He enjoyed collecting and trading guns, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. His greatest joy in later years was visiting and playing with his grandchildren.

Anthony was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and son. He will truly be missed by all.

Funeral services for Mr. Bamber will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri with Brother Bill Bales officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Carter Funeral Home in Thayer on Monday evening, July 14th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.

Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.
