Minnie Alice Howard was born the daughter of Ed Barnes and Delia (Jackson) Barnes on January 14, 1934, in London, Kentucky, and departed this life June 8, 2014, at Twin Lakes Nursing Center in Flippin, Arkansas at the age of 80 years.
She was united in marriage October 13, 1961, in Hamilton, Ohio to Frank Howard who preceded her in death on April 9, 1989.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Rayburn of Flippin, Arkansas; two grandchildren, John Paul Lerma and Victoria Schober; three great grandchildren, Alexis Lerma, Calvin Treat and Vanessa Treat; three sisters, Nellie Warren, Zeldarae Barnes and Sarah White; one brother, Robert Barnes; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Delia Barnes; and her husband, Frank Howard.
Alice had a servants heart, and worked for many years as a waitress. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and flower gardening.
She was a member of the Old Welcome Hill Church of Christ, will be remembered as a sweet, loving mother and grandmother and will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Howard will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri, with Erman Croney officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Carter Funeral Home in Thayer on Wednesday, June 11th from 12:30 PM until the service begins at 2:00.
Burial will be in the Saddle Cemetery near Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of the Ozarks in Mtn. Home, Arkansas, and may be left at Carter Funeral Home in Thayer.
