Kaleb Lyle McIntire was born December 15, 1989 in West Plains, MO. Kaleb was the third born son of Edwin and Shelly McIntire. He departed this life with his family by his side on March 29th, 2021 at the age of 31 years.
Kaleb is survived by his parents, Edwin and Shelly of West Plains, MO; his brother, Kyle McIntire and wife Angela of Flower Mound, TX; his brother Kody McIntire and wife Tara of Alton, MO; his grandmother, Rilla Rothermich of Pomona, MO; his niece Ava McIntire, and his nephew, Tripp McIntire; as well as numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Kaleb was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Beverly McIntire, and his maternal grandfather, Robert Rothermich.
Anyone who knew Kaleb loved him for his outgoing, goofy personality. Kaleb loved life and could make anyone laugh. Kaleb was known for putting a smile on everyone’s face and for his kind soul. Kaleb truly had a heart of gold. Kaleb was of the Baptist faith. He was saved by God’s grace and baptized as a young man. In his spare time, Kaleb enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed putting the pedal to the metal and going fast!
In keeping with Kaleb’s loving spirit, it was his decision to donate life so others may live it. Kaleb made the commitment to be an organ donor and felt so admittedly about this that he made his wish known seven different times with his signature on the back of his license. Without Kaleb, there is no story, no hope; but because of him, life springs from death, sorrow turns to celebration, and a terrible loss becomes a gift. He has changed the ending to someone’s story. His death gives absolute meaning to the saying, “to the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.” Kaleb’s death is not a tragedy; instead, it is a beautiful light in the midst of one. farewell sweet Kaleb, forever our hero.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Edward Casey officiating.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 3, 2021 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.

To the family of Kaleb McIntire. I did not know Kaleb, but my 2 grand daughters Heather and Courtney Reeves went to school with Kaleb.
They both thought a lot of Kaleb. My heart is very saddened to hear the report. I spoke with Kody and let him know that I will be praying for all of you.

Rilla,
I am so very sorry to read about the loss of your sweet grandson. I believe that you told me of him different times over the years that we used to visit at the store, I sure do miss those times and have thought about you many, many times since. Please know that my prayers are with you and your family and you know that you will have the pleasure of seeing him again. I am sending you hugs of love from my heart here to your heart there.
