Jack Brown was born in Houlka, Mississippi on June 7, 1954 to Martha Marie and James Harold Brown. Jack passed from this earth on January 24, 2021 at his home in Thayer, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Marion of Thayer, Missouri; his daughters, Crystal of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Alicia of Springfield, Missouri; brothers Charles of Crestview, Florida, Terry of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Nick, and Jim, both of Thayer, Missouri; his sisters Ruth Anne Lockhart of Niceville, Florida, and Rhonda Hedden of Thayer, Missouri; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Jack hired on with Frisco Railroad in 1984, where he worked until retiring with Burlington Northern Santa Fe. He enjoyed spending his free time watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and fishing. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jack was best friends with Gary and a part of our family for many years. We are so sorry to hear of his passing. Our prayers to his family and we will miss Jack and may God bless you during this sad time

Sending prayers for family… Jack provided many hours of entertainment at my parent’s restaurant (State Line) over the years they were there… He will be missed by so many members of the community. May God lift you in this time of grief and provide you with peace and comfort.

I never met Jack but I heard his wasn’t a good fisherman. I heard he was the BEST fisherman of them all. His brother, Charles and I are great friends an he took about an hour telling about parts of Jack’s life and said he was proud and will miss him much. I pray for Ann, Charles and all of the family as well as Jack’s friends. For those who miss he more than words can say, here is a chorus of a song that sure helped me when my sister passed in December. I’m finally home the day I’ve dreamed of so long / It’s true what they say – there’s so much to see / and the Father is waiting at His throne now for me / I know you’ll shed some tears / But the memories should get you through the years / Don’t worry about me I’m ok I’m not alone / Just a note to say – that I’m finally home.
