Linda Lou (Martin) Dethrow was born the daughter of Roy Martin and Inez (Harmon) Martin on October 22, 1939, in Couch, Missouri, and departed this life in West Plains, Missouri, on March 18, 2016, at the age of 76 years.
She was united in marriage on June 22, 1957, in Thayer, Missouri, to Howard Dethrow.
She is survived by her husband, Howard of the home in Couch, Missouri; one daughter, Janet Bennett and husband, Clifton of Couch, Missouri; two granddaughters, Andrea Nicholson and husband, Dennis of Couch, Missouri and Krystal Wiersma and husband, Brian of Ankeny, Iowa; four great grandchildren, Dalton and Carter Nicholson, Emilynn and Madalynn Wiersma; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Inez Martin.
Linda was a long time member of Garfield Free Will Baptist Church. She was a dedicated homemaker and enjoyed helping on the family farm.
She will be remembered as devoted wife, a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and a friend to all. She will truly be missed by her family and the community in which she lived.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 21, 2016, at 2:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri with Brother Jake Lawrence officiating.
Burial will be in the Thayer Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
